Responsibilities
Understand business and user needs and requirements.
Identify and resolve common database/SQL performance problems, independently or with the team.
Communicate regularly with technical, application, and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security.
Maintain corporate databases, including backup, optimization, re-indexing, recovery procedures, and routine troubleshooting.
Create and maintain documentation for database modifications and developments.
Job Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
2-6 years of business technology experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior database administration experience with basic knowledge of Oracle Database or MS SQL Server.
Knowledge of other databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS-SQL is an advantage.
Experience with database monitoring and backup tools (e.g., Oracle Enterprise Manager, Recovery Manager, Zabbix, NetBackup) is an advantage.
Knowledge of Oracle Appliance products and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is an advantage.
* Basic knowledge of OS platform setup and tuning (Linux, Windows, UNIX) is required.
