Job Description

We are looking for a talented and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join our IT team. The ideal candidate should be skilled in managing database environments and ensuring the databases are reliable, scalable, and optimized for performance.Working Hours: Monday - Friday (10am - 7pm)Working Location: CentralSalary Package: Up to $7,500 (with VB and AWS)Key Responsibilities:

• 24/7 Production Support: Provide around-the-clock support for production databases, ensuring their stability, performance, and availability.
• Database Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve Oracle database issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Schema Design and Assessment: Design and assess Oracle database schemas to ensure they meet application and performance requirements.
• Database Performance Tuning: Conduct performance tuning activities to optimize database efficiency and response times.
• AWS Integration and Maintenance: Work with AWS services to keep the Oracle databases updated with the latest patches and versions.
• Daily Monitoring and Performance Analysis: Perform day-to-day monitoring of database systems and conduct performance analysis to identify and address potential issues proactively.
• Support for New Projects: Provide database technology services and expertise to support the development of new projects and initiatives.
• SQL Optimization: Optimize SQL queries and scripts for newly developed and existing applications to improve performance and efficiency.
• Database Recovery and Maintenance: Manage database recovery, duplication, and restoration as requested by applications, ensuring data integrity and availability.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in database development experience.
• Experienced in Oracle AWS RD, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle PL/SQL
• Experienced in database optimisation and performance tuning.
