What you'll be doing




Setting up, configuring, and maintaining databases to ensure optimal performance and availability. Performing performance tuning and optimization of database systems to meet application and business requirements. Ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with internal and external standards. Monitoring database health, performing regular backups, and implementing disaster recovery strategies. Collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to support application deployments and troubleshoot database-related issues. Writing and maintaining scripts for automation of routine database tasks. Managing user access, roles, and permissions in accordance with security policies. Documenting database configurations, procedures, and best practices.




What you'll bring along




Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role. Hands-on experience with at least one of the following databases: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL. Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) for database provisioning (desirable). Knowing two or more DB's is a plus Experience with high availability DB solutions is highly desirable Familiarity with monitoring tools and performance dashboards (desirable). Solid understanding of database architecture, indexing, query optimization, and backup/recovery strategies. Familiarity with security best practices for database environments. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database performance and connectivity issues. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. A proactive and detail-oriented mindset with a focus on reliability and efficiency. Certifications in database technologies (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, PostgreSQL) are a plus Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
