Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and maintain the performance, integrity, and security of our organization's database systems. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless operations of databases, provide support to users, and collaborate with various teams to implement improvements and resolve issues.

• Working Hours: Mon-Fri
• Working Location: Central
• Salary Package: Up to $7500 (basic) + Bonus

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily database administration tasks to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute regular database maintenance activities including password changes, backups, and patches.
• Collaborate with application and system teams to resolve database-related issues and implement enhancements.
• Document operational guides and standard operating procedures to support knowledge sharing.
• Monitor system logs, identify potential problems, and ensure compliance with security and audit requirements.
• Provide prompt support for user requests and database service appeals.
• Guide and mentor junior DBAs and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a DBA, with hands-on expertise in Oracle, MS SQL, or other major RDBMS.
• Strong understanding of database performance tuning, security, and backup/recovery processes.
• Experience with database scripting languages (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL).
• Familiarity with compliance and audit requirements in secure environments.
• Good communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in writing technical documentation and SOPs.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools and automation scripts is a plus.
