Job Description

Proficient in Installation, Configuration, Maintenance and Tuning for Oracle 19c,12c,11g and 10g software in Cloud, Linux, AIX, Solaris, and Windows server family platforms.

Installation of MS SQL server 2005,2008,2008R2 & 2012 software and configuration in the windows server 2008 & windows server 2003.

Setup MS SQL server 2008,2008R2 & MS SQL server 2005 cluster in the Microsoft windows cluster servers.

Support development and production teams in database designs, environment deployment and related implementations.

Review and optimize existing database designs and configurations to achieve better stability and performance.

Research and develop new technologies and approaches for building highly available data persistence systems.

Deploying the scripts on Oracle and Maria databases.

Backup and Restore MariaDB using mysqldump and mariabackup.

Modify the MariaDB sql queries for users requirement and create indexes for better performance.

Apply patches on Maria databases.

Apply the Oracle and MariaDB latest patches to fix the vulnerabilities.

Supporting the production database in 70 Tb size with physical standby data guard and Golden gate streaming setup.

Experience on install the new node addition/deletion in existing cluster nodes in 11gR2 and 12c.

Applying quarterly PSU patches in RAC and Non-RAC databases.

Experience on cloning the database using Nutanix.

Installed the new Oracle Golden gate 12c version in 12c database cluster nodes.

Upgraded the Golden gate binaries from 11g to 12c version during the database 12c upgrade.

Configured the new Downstream database with Golden Gate 12c setup in Bidirectional modes.

Experience on solving the performance issues and finding the tuning and recommendation areas.

Supporting the Golden gate environments from oracle cloud to on- premises environment.

Installed the Enterprise Manager 12c database in production monitor.

Knowledge on User management and tablespace management.

Worked the Golden gate instantiate and re-instantiate tables in every quarter.

Experience on configuring the Physical Data guard and Active data guard.

RMAN Duplicate cloning performed from 11g to 12c database version with backup/without backup.

Oracle Data Vault features installed and configured the realm features for 11g and 12c databases.

Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) features implemented successfully for many critical databases in 11g and 12c version.

Implemented Backup & Recovery strategies using RMAN tool for many production databases.

Experience on OCR and Voting Disk restoration for RAC environment.

Migrated the database from Non ASM database to ASM environment.

Experience on NLS character set conversion from US7ASCII to WE8MSWIN1252 on 10gRAC

Performing daily maintenance tasks like space management, rectifying locking problems, managing quotas etc.

Handled the RAC database node eviction, Database performance memory tuning issues.

Experience on working in 12c EM console for various issues PROFILE, AWR, TK Prof, and AUTOTRACE, EXPLAIN PLAN, ADDM and Performance views.

Configured the Physical standby database using Data Guard and DB Visit Technologies Tool.

Experience and handled the logical Block corruption and RMAN restoration activities.

Good knowledge in Linux shell scripts automated the ORA alerts, backup alerts etc...

Good Knowledge on Data guard Switchover/Failover/Snapshot mode activities in Production database.

Cloning and Re-building the databases from Production to other Environments in a short time using RMAN, IMP/EXP, and DATA PUMP.

Database tuning Optimize database performance by analysing objects, generating statistics, creating indexes and views

DBA support for multiple production, development, and test environments.

knowledge on basic WebLogic administration activities.

Provided 24x7 on-call supports. Worked beyond regular hours based on business demands.

Job Requirements

Minimum Bachelor Degree or higher in Computer Science or related fields.

Minimum 6 years of relevant experience as a database administrator, devops for database or related roles.

Minimum 6 years of experience in Oracle 9i, 10g ,11g,12c & 19c database implementation, administration & Support

Minimum 3 years of experience in MS SQL server 2005, 2008, 2008R2 & 2012 implementation, administration & Support.

Minimum 3 years of experience in MariaDB implementation, administration & Support.

In-depth understanding of database design and experience in supporting large-scale distributed storage systems, such as MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, etc.

Familiar with SQL and relational database theory and knowledge.

Familiar with scripting languages (at least one of Shell or Python).

Familiar with Linux systems and has good system troubleshooting skills.
