We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Demand Planner to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations in production scheduling, order fulfilment, and inventory management to maximize productivity and yield. The Demand Planner will also need to analyse trends, provide meaningful insights, and generate accurate performance reports.
Main duties & responsibilities
Forecasting & Planning
: Analyse historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors to predict future demand and adjust raw material & crates supply to meet production plans
Inventory Management
: Monitor stock levels, manage inventory cycles, and ensure timely procurement of materials to avoid shortages or excess
Resource Allocation
: Optimize the use of resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) to maximize productivity and minimize costs
Continuous Improvement
: Work closely with the production team to review current production SOPs and implement solutions for enhance efficiency and reduce waste
Reporting
: Compile and present reports on production specification, including data on product quality, consistency & standards
Workplace Safety & Health
: Ensure and enforce safety and hygiene standards to comply with regulatory requirements
Quality Assurance/Control:
Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure products meet required standards, and investigate and resolve any quality issues
Collaboration
: Work with various departments to coordinate production activities and address any concerns

Education & experience
Tertiary education in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Technology/Engineering or related field
Relevant knowledge and experience in meat processing operations and food safety regulations will be advantageous
Proficient in production planning using software and ERP system
