to oversee and coordinate demolition projects from start to finish. The role involves managing site operations, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements, and leading a crew to execute structural and non-structural demolitions efficiently and safely.
You will play a key role in planning, coordinating with clients and engineers, supervising site workers, and ensuring all works are performed according to schedule, quality, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
Site Operations & Supervision
Lead and supervise demolition workers and subcontractors on-site.
Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings daily.
Ensure all works comply with HDB/BCA regulations, WSHA, and company SOPs.
Oversee safe dismantling, cutting, and removal of structures, concrete, and debris.
Manage equipment usage (e.g. excavators, breakers, cutting tools, scaffolding).
Planning & Coordination
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and safety officers to plan sequence of demolition works.
Read and interpret structural drawings, method statements, and PE-endorsed demolition plans.
Coordinate disposal and transport of waste materials in accordance with NEA requirements.
Monitor work progress and update daily site reports, manpower, and equipment logs.
Safety & Compliance
Implement and enforce safety standards and permit-to-work systems.
Identify site hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
Work closely with WSHO and ECO to maintain compliance with workplace safety and environmental regulations.
Conduct site inspections and ensure use of proper PPE and safety barricades.
People & Resource Management
Manage manpower allocation and productivity on-site.
Train and mentor site workers to ensure quality and safety awareness.
Verify attendance, timesheets, and performance of workers.
Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of materials, tools, and equipment.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
At least
3-5 years' experience
in demolition, construction, or civil works supervision.
Diploma or NITEC in Building, Civil, or Construction Engineering preferred.
Valid
WSQ Supervise Construction Work for WSH
certification.
BCSS (Building Construction Supervisor Safety Course)
certification required.
Class 3 driving license
preferred.
Technical & Regulatory Knowledge
Familiar with
BCA/HDB demolition guidelines

WSH Act

LTA/SCDF regulations
.
Knowledge of
temporary works, structural dismantling, and safe load sequencing
.
Ability to read structural and architectural drawings.
Familiar with
Permit-to-Work (PTW)
