What the role is:The Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) which aims to pioneer innovation solutions and develop world class science and technology capabilities to transform and empower the Home Team in delivering safety and security for Singapore. To develop the AI training curriculum which support both the AI literacy and applied proficiency skills and the AI competency framework, through collaboration with industry and academic partners. Proactively manage impactful projects aligned with the overall strategy of enhancing AI capabilities across the Whole-Of-Home Team. The Deputy Director is also required to lead the design of the overall certification and assessment process of AI and Digital solutions, ensuring quality, compliance, enabling rapid access and seamless deployment of compliant solutions for Home Team use.What you will be working on:Responsible to develop the AI competency framework, level up AI competency of the HTDs as part of scaling up AI capabilities to whole of MHA. Oversee, manage and drive the development of a comprehensive competency framework for AI referencing frameworks used in the industry but tailored for MHA Develop and coordinate delivery of training courses, which support both the AI literacy and applied proficiency skills from basic to expert level in the areas of AI Define the overall strategy for certification of AI and Digital Products and solutions, including the establishment of clear criteria and processes. Regularly review and update criteria based on industry advancements and organizational needs. Establish robust processes for evaluating AI and Digital products. This includes creating assessment frameworks, checklists, and evaluation methodologies. Responsible for maintenance central repository of certified AI and Digital Products and Projects Implement strict quality control measures to certify the integrity, security, and functionality of the AI and digital products.What we are looking for:Min Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related disciplines, with experience in AI / Data Science / Machine Learning Minimum 10 years\' relevant experience in AI & Data Science practitioner work and training/lecturing in relevant subjects Experience in developing training curriculum and/or delivering a course Confident in training delivery and able to explain technical AI / Data Science / Machine Learning knowledge to a layman audience. Excellent stakeholder management skills Strong leadership and supervisory track records Prior experience in engaging public officers and government agencies on projects and collaborations is not a requirement, but will be an added advantage Excellent English language skills both oral and written Comfortable working independently with minimum supervision Self-motivated, team player, creative with excellent communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently. *** All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
