[What the role is]
he Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s central bank and integrated financial regulator.

[What you will be working on] Deputy Director / Assistant Director \xe2\x80\x93 Financial Misconduct Surveillance Division You will be a member of a team responsible for monitoring corporate announcements and transactions involving listed issuers, with a view to promoting a high standard of disclosure and facilitating a fair and orderly market. You will perform surveillance to detect financial misconduct including abusive, manipulative or illegal trading practices in the capital markets, particularly for breaches of market misconduct offences under the Securities and Futures Act (SFA). You will conduct preliminary inquiries to determine appropriate follow-up action. You will work closely with other regulatory bodies including the Singapore Exchange Regulation and the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority in monitoring corporate disclosures and financial reports. You will be expected to keep abreast of changes in securities law, listing rules and accounting standards, and be able to apply them while having regard to the commercial substance of the transactions undertaken by listed issuers. You can be expected to be challenged intellectually and professionally as you work closely with regulators, investigators, as well as industry practitioners. You will gain insight into Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s equity market and the regulatory framework governing listed issuers and fund-raising activities, as well as how capital markets participants operate, and the rules and regulations at play, as you play an important role in MAS\' enhanced enforcement regime under the SFA.

[What we are looking for]

\xe2\x80\xa2 Passion for investigative and regulatory work

  • You will be working in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and needs of stakeholders, as well as the agility to respond to changes and developments.
