What the role is:The Digital Transformation cluster aims to develop vibrant sectoral ecosystems, transformed by the next bound of digital technologies as engine of growth, supported by a strong core of local digital leaders. Working closely with public and private sectors, the group is responsible for driving digital transformation initiatives and projects that result in business model transformation, innovative technology applications and new capabilities for business growth.As the Deputy Director, you will lead a team to support IMDA\'s vision to drive the group\'s initiatives in Digital Transformation. Your team will, together with other IMDA groups, identify and analyse next bound technologies that are at the cusp of deployment, engage enterprise users and partners to implement pilot use-cases, chart plans to develop the ecosystem, and subsequently scale the technologies to be adopted by more users. Working with other agencies, stakeholders and industry partners, your team will identify key enablers and secure resources required to drive a vibrant Singapore Digital Economy.Together with your team leads, you will oversee the scoping and implementation of emerging technology deployments in enterprises - particularly in GenAI, Digital Twin and XR. You will need to collaborate with other IMDA groups to ensure alignment and support IMDA-wide interests. You will need to chart out strategies and to seek approval/guidance for workstreams with IMDA\'s management. Lastly, you will also oversee on-going sectoral transformation initiatives aimed to build digital innovation and transformation in enterprises and sectors.Responsibilities include:

• Division-level leadership - Experience in leading a team and inspiring them to work in partnership with government agencies, enterprises, and technology providers to implement digital transformation projects. This will include securing and managing resources, as well as working closely with various parts of IMDA.
• People development - Experience in attracting and hiring best-in-class talent to the team; and developing plans to grow, train and retain talents in the team.
• Stakeholder management and influence - Develop strong relationships with and manage a wide range of stakeholders across both public and private sectors to drive successful completion of projects and achieving the intended project objectives.

You would need to have:

• Good written and verbal communication skills, with strong experience in stakeholder engagement and management.
• A good degree and with at least 10 years of leadership or supervisory experience in the business-tech function and/or project management space.
• Strong team-player spirit, excellent analytical skills, and perseverance to follow assignments through in a timely manner.
• Ability to function with ambiguity, visualise outcomes and provide clarity for the stakeholders and partners. Ability to work in an environment where you need to brainstorm and iterate ideas, pivoting plans where appropriate.
