What the role is:
You will support Director, Ops Systems Sustainment Centre and Senior Deputy Director, Policing Ops Systems in the coordination, direction and control of all policing sustainment projects, activities, and tasks under the charge of the team.
What you will be working on:
The jobholder will be responsible for the following: o Lead the Policing Planning and Services teams in their sustainment and operational role, including ICT support planning, solutioning and sustainment to support Police operations, both day-to-day and for major Police operations. o Ensure Key Performance Indicators under the teams for ICT systems, services and support capabilities supporting Police operations are achieved. o Lead and be involved in delivering systems, projects or support services, ensuring that budget, requirements and specifications are met, through the sound application of project management processes. o Form strong partnerships with stakeholders and vendors to establish trust, confidence and support. o Innovate and implement the latest technology and ICT solutions to support Police operations.
What we are looking for:

• At least a Basic Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or general discipline with relevant ICT experience o 10 years' experience with at least 5 years in management capacity o Experience in the public sector or robust ICT experience in the private sector, preferably in the development, implementation and deployment of ICT plans and activities o Strong leadership skills and meticulous in planning o Possess a strong sense of responsibility, positive working attitude and resourcefulness o Possess good interpersonal and communication skills o Possess good written and communication skills o Ability to manage multiple issues and collaborate with parties with different interests o Ability to work under pressure with tight timelines o Able to work beyond office-hours and outside office environment when required All new appointees will be appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance.
