Job Purpose

The Deputy General Manager, Strides Automotive Services will be responsible to assist the General Manager to perform the role of Workshop operations, Workplace safety assurance, Business Development, Sales, and Product Dealership to ensure sustainable growth. He/She will lead a team of Workshop Managers to manage existing fleet projects which are undertaken by the Strides Premier Automotive Services. He/She also responsible for maintaining higher standard of safety and reliability of the fleet or equipment that are under Automotive Services\' care. It includes streamlining Repair & Maintenance activities to meet operational and financial targets for both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

Deputy General Manager, Strides Automotive Services duties and responsibilities are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.

• Responsible for the operations, safety, and security of the workplace and assets
• Responsible to align the entire workforce and activities to follow the safety processes, rules, and policies at all time
• Responsible for profitability of the business lines.
• Participate in new tender bids on repair and maintenance services, retrofitting services, etc.
• Drive ongoing learning and development of employees to deepen technical competence and subject matter knowledge and skills.
• Drive productivity of the workforce.
• Maintain committed service standards and follow up with all customer issues or concerns to ensure high levels of trust and satisfaction among internal and external customers.
• Develop and execute effective customer relations policies. Observe, encourage and inspire employees to deliver high service standards to win customer trust.
• Conduct weekly departmental meetings and set departmental and service goals.
• Focus on the areas of quality maintenance, productivity, and safety movements.

Qualifications & Work Experience

Qualification and Work Experience include:

• Degree in any Engineering discipline or relevant field, preferably Mechanical or Electrical
• 10 to 15 years of strong managerial and leadership qualities

Skills

Technical skills include:

• Familiarity with business planning, budgeting, and risk analysis process
• Excellent in report writing, numerical analysis, and presentation
• Knowledge in financial modeling [added advantage]
• Knowledge in automotive and electric vehicle industry [added advantage]
