About Brighton College (Singapore)

In August 2020 Brighton College opened the doors of its fifth sister school in Singapore, one of South East Asia\xe2\x80\x99s most vibrant and successful cities. The school is a collaboration between Brighton College - the UK\xe2\x80\x99s top co-educational school, awarded The Sunday Times Independent School of the Year 2019 and 2021, and School of Decade 2010-2020 and Cognita \xe2\x80\x93 an educational group with schools around the globe that embraces and embeds best practice from a variety of world curricula. Brighton College (Singapore) comprises of a Pre-Prep (located in a purpose-built \xe2\x80\x98Early Learning Village\xe2\x80\x99) for children aged 18 months to 6 years and a Prep School for children aged 6 to 13 years. The College aims to provide an inspiring education that prepares pupils for life in our school and beyond. We deliver the Brighton College Curriculum, incorporating the UK\xe2\x80\x99s Early Years Foundation Stage and English National Curriculum, together with a rich co-curricular programme. Our composition of the teaching body reflects the high academic standards associated with a Brighton College education.
Our Vision
Our vision for Brighton College in Singapore is to create an outward-looking school that prioritises emotional well-being and fosters a life-long love of learning: a school where pupils look to the needs of their classmates, but are also engaged with their local community and are aware of global issues; a school where pupils are resilient, confident and grateful for their opportunities; and a school where teachers stoke the children\xe2\x80\x99s natural curiosity, fuelling their desire to investigate and understand the world around them. It is our privilege to have the opportunity to put these key fundamentals of kindness, confidence and curiosity in place, enabling our pupils to take full advantage of the next stage of their education.
Our Core Values
Curiosity Delivering an innovative, challenging and broad curriculum which encourages curiosity and enquiry. Developing a foundation of knowledge and body of skills with which to understand and question the world we live in. Confidence Providing opportunities for children to build and maintain positive relationships and develop the necessary skills to contribute in a meaningful way. Imparting an enthusiasm for the world beyond the classroom \xe2\x80\x93 in particular: sport, music and the performing arts. Kindness Respecting the difference in others, and recognising that the efforts and achievements of every individual in our community are valued equally. Making a positive difference in the world.
