Deputy Head of Business and Talent Attraction / Investment Promotion

Applications are invited for the position of Deputy Head of Business and Talent Attraction / Investment Promotion in the Dedicated Team for Attracting Businesses and Talents / Investment Promotion Unit of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) in Singapore, one of the official representative offices of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government in ASEAN.

Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK), a department of the HKSAR Government responsible for attracting foreign direct investment to Hong Kong, is looking for a suitable candidate to join the Dedicated Team for Attracting Businesses and Talents / Investment Promotion Unit in the HKETO in Singapore.

Reporting to the Head of Business and Talent Attraction / Investment Promotion of the HKETO in Singapore, the Deputy Head of Business and Talent Attraction / Investment Promotion will be responsible for identifying, attracting and supporting companies to set up or expand to Hong Kong by engaging in strategic planning and execution of investment promotion activities, meeting top level executives of leading companies and providing assistance to potential investors in Singapore, Vietnam and Laos. The ideal candidate should be result-oriented and self-motivated, with strategic thinking and sound interpersonal skills. The post holder will be required to travel in the region.

Salary

The entry salary as well as terms of appointment and conditions of service to be offered are subject to the provisions prevailing at the time the offer of appointment is made.

Entry Requirements * A Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent, preferably in Business Administration, Economics or International Marketing; a higher degree would be an advantage;

• A minimum of 5 years of international sales and/or business development experience, preferably in foreign direct investment promotion or economic development, at a managerial position;
• Excellent presentation and communication skills in English; proficiency in any ASEAN languages would be an advantage;
• Broad knowledge of Singapore and other ASEAN economies as listed above and relevant working experience in Singapore are important; experiences of living and/or doing business in Hong Kong would be an asset; and
• Eligible to take up employment in Singapore without arrangement of work visa by the employer.

Term of Appointment

Two-year contract term with the possibility of extension.

Benefits

10% end-of-contract gratuity will be paid upon completion of the employment contract with satisfactory performance. Other benefits include medical coverage, annual leave, Central Provident Fund contributions, etc.
