What the role is:
The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is Singapore\'s central bank and integrated financial regulator.

What you will be working on:
As an officer in the Corporate Finance Division, you will play an important role in regulating corporate fund raising, take-overs and mergers activities.
For corporate fund-raising, you will assess prospectuses for compliance with the law and work on initiatives to promote fair, orderly and transparent capital markets. For take-overs and mergers, you will administer the Singapore Take-over Code to ensure an efficient market for corporate control as well as equal treatment of all shareholders.
You will undertake regular reviews of the rules and regulations governing corporate fund-raising as well as take-overs and mergers, taking into account market developments and international trends. In addition, you will be involved in the supervision of corporate finance advisers, including the formulation of supervisory plans and practices to promote high standards of business conduct.
Through frequent engagements with industry practitioners in the course of your work, you will gain good insight into capital market issues, investment products, as well as securities regulation and supervision.
You will be working in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and needs of stakeholders, as well as the agility to respond to changes and developments.
What we are looking for:
Relevant experience or degree in Business, Accountancy, Law or Financial Economics preferred
Strong analytical skills and an ability to work at both conceptual and operational levels
Ability to work well independently as well as in a team
Natural inquisitiveness and ability to be creative in problem-solving
Good written and verbal communication skills. You will be expected to interface with internal and external stakeholders directly, including other government agencies, foreign regulators, financial intermediaries and industry practitioners.
