You will have direct responsibility for driving all things Design across these territories with our world-class franchise partners, including new builds and remodels
These markets have approximately 3400 trading restaurants with a very aggressive expansion plan and remodeling schedule
Responsibilities Concept Design & Architecture
Build the Brand through owning and driving Pizza Hut's Asia Region asset innovation and design strategies to deliver consumer-relevant, insights-driven, and cost-effective assets
Deliver top-notch, global-leading assets in every restaurant build/action
Spearhead holistic roll-out of comprehensive brand image standards across all consumer-facing touchpoints to drive brand image through current global approved design package.
Ownership of all Pizza Hut franchise architectural plan submission, review, and approval processes, including post-construction audits to ensure compliance with brand standards
Review layout and design of restaurants (i.e., equipment, seating, exterior elevations, etc.), relocations, and image enhancements for compliance with global standards, while enhancing each proposed design through creative input
Implement the company's policies, programs, and specifications related to planning, construction, and design for all Pizza Hut restaurants
Drive research and innovation in restaurant planning and design, incorporating regional insights and competitive benchmarking
Identify construction and design cost-saving opportunities and ensure effective implementation
Maintain up-to-date design and construction manuals, image enhancement guidelines, and communications systems for field partners
Support training and development of regional construction suppliers and design consultants Project Management
Work closely with cross-functional teams to review and finalize design approval packages for all new builds and remodels
Manage the end-to-end design submission and approval process, including setting reminders, tracking status, and producing monthly progress reports
Track and manage the regional remodel portfolio and obligations in coordination with the regional Development team
Conduct post-construction audits of completed restaurants to ensure adherence to brand standards
Upload post-construction CAPEX data and asset details to internal systems and dashboards to support visibility, compliance, and performance tracking across the region
Strategic
Demonstrate Asia region concept design thought-partnership and successful collaboration with Dallas central leadership; provide industry insights and regional competitive benchmarking to monitor and inform retail design trends and their application for Pizza Hut
Provide thought leadership to help define and develop asset strategies and processes to drive profitable growth and accelerate image upgrade pace
Work with the Region's Development Team, GMs, and cross-functional partners to drive remodeling obligations and new unit build rate through CAPEX optimization and functional initiatives
Drive process and discipline to improve the Pizza Hut business model and deliver world-class commercial focus
Champion sustainability in asset strategies by developing and applying regionally relevant solutions
Requirements
Architect/Designer with 8+ years' experience in commercial & retail projects, preferably with a multi-unit operator
Experience with CAPEX optimization initiatives is a competitive advantage
Excellent project management skills and the ability to deliver high-quality results under tight timelines
Strong project portfolio and a good understanding of consumer trends in the retail space
Proficiency in design-oriented software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop) is highly desired
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to advise, train, and influence stakeholders across diverse cultural backgrounds
Effective communication, follow-up skills, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset are essential
