Prepares all engineering information required by the certifying authorities and the production departments to execute activities within the required time period.
Coordinates interdisciplinary and subcontracting activities.
Performs and checks engineering design and design calculations.
Ensures that all design deliverables comply fully with the contract specification.
Represents the engineering department in technical meetings/discussions with clients.
Represents the engineering department in the testing of engineering equipment carried out.
Performs the role of discipline Lead Engineer (DLE) as assigned, and provides technical support as required to the engineers reporting to the DLE for the particular project.
Ensures the safety of personnel through compliance with Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental Regulations.
Ensures that Health, Safety & Environmental operating procedures are followed and counsels employees about compliance as necessary.
Participates in the preparation of Safe work, Environmental control and Emergency procedures.
Ensures that all Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) plans are followed.
Any other associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
Preferably a Degree in Naval Architecture / Marine Offshore Technology / Electrical / Marine / Mechanical / Civil Engineering. Engineering qualifications would be advantageous.

Preferably 2 years experience in the Marine and/or Offshore Industry. Entry-level candidates without the pre-requisite working experience or relevant knowledge and skills shall be considered for \xe2\x80\x98entry-level\xe2\x80\x99 position.
Familiar with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
Have in-depth knowledge of a wide range of engineering equipment associated with Marine and Offshore vessels.
Must be familiar with the Rules and Regulations of leading Classification Societies and Regulatory Authorities.
Sound knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of Ship Repair / Major / Offshore & Conversion projects.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
