Design Engineering Intern

What You'll Do

As a

Design Engineering Intern

, you'll drive innovation from concept to commercialization. Working closely with cross-functional partners--including Product Management, Customer Experience, Manufacturing, Material Engineering, and Technology teams - you'll deliver thoughtful, high-quality designs that are both aesthetically refined and ready for high-volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Support

concept generation

through sketching, idea development, and feasibility exploration. Assist in

3D CAD modelling

and creation of 2D drawings under the guidance of senior engineers. Help build and test

prototypes

using 3D printing, lab equipment, or hands-on bench methods. Participate in

design reviews

, testing activities, and documentation of results. Apply basic principles of

Design for Manufacturing (DFM)

and support industrialization efforts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including V&V, Manufacturing, and Materials Engineering.

What You Bring

Required:

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in

Mechanical Engineering

, Product Design, Industrial Design

, or a related field. Strong interest in

end-to-end product development

, not just one phase. Familiarity with

3D CAD software

(e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, NX). Strong attention to detail, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. Good written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:

Experience with

prototyping tools

(e.g., 3D printers, hand tools). Experience with/Exposure to

Gen AI

application. Exposure to

design thinking

or

user-centered

design methodologies. Team player who enjoys collaborative problem solving.
