Purpose and Scope

Lead the design and development of Solar PV and other renewable energy systems, conducting feasibility studies and technical evaluation to ensure high performance and efficiency. Provide mentorship to a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Key roles & responsibilities

Provide support to Business Development by producing technical proposal, estimated project PV capacity and costing through technical assessment of site and drawings Produce design drawings e.g. Single line diagram, Module arrangement layout, Stringing arrangement, inverter arrangement using AutoCAD software Develop design specifications and functional requirements for projects Complete system designs for PV projects including site plans, mechanical racking and attachment plans, single-line electrical drawings, specification of balance of system location and interconnection details Analyze factors affecting performance of PV systems Perform software simulations of solar photovoltaic (PV) system performance & energy production Perform design calculation, voltage drop, fault current and etc. Provide engineering support during installation Assist in reviews and approval of engineering drawing submissions from contractors Ensure the compliance with specifications and requirements in the signed EPC contracts Work with O&M Team to review system performance and improve designs

Qualifications & Experience

Degree/Diploma in Electrical engineering discipline 3 to 5 years' experience in Solar PV system design / engineering Being a motivated individual with excellence in their work Have a basic understanding of business acumen, Can-do attitude, problem solver Knowledge of Microsoft Office and advanced Excel capability Familiar with engineering software such as PVSyst, AutoCAD, Sketchup, SolarGIS, Helioscope
