Job Description
Title: Dev Ops Engineer
Report To: Tech Director
Responsibilities:
- Use various tools to orchestrate solutions.
- Build independent web-based tools, microservices and solutions.
- Write scripts and automation using Perl/Python/Groovy/Java/Bash.
- Work with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.
- Understand how various systems work and IT operations are managed.
- Manage source control and continuous integration.
- Understand the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers.
- Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
- Work on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
- Any other duties as assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in DevOps or related activities.
- Git CI/CD or Jenkins experiences.
- Experience working on Linux based infrastructure.
- Configuration and managing databases such as MySQL and Mongo.
- Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services.
- Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles.
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Excellent teamworking and communication skills.
