Role Responsibilities
Job Scope The Risk and Compliance Change team require a strong quantitative Lead Business Analyst with background in Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) and exposure modelling to lead several initiatives as part of the strategic Traded Credit Risk Programme. These critical projects focus on business and technology deliverables including system upgrades and migrations, risk data and control implementations. In this function, the lead is responsible for high quality analytics requirements produced by the team, testing, training, and user support for various projects focused on Traded Credit Risk. The successful candidate will be an experienced Business Analyst with a focus on CCR or CVA.

  • Work with relevant stakeholders including Traded Risk Management, Counterparty Credit Risk Modelling and FO teams to deliver a new risk management system and CCR models.
  • Become a key person for the implementations of the new risk system and models (simulation, derivatives pricing, IM and VM collateral modelling and aggregation).
  • Work with ITO team on the Active Pivot (OLAP) platform to deliver the relevant components for the reporting solution including all risk measures and limit management components and incremental impact of new deals using Monte Carlo simulation.
  • Own all measure implementations in Active Pivot including the dynamic collateral modelling under simulation (both IM and VM) and work closely with Model Validation to ensure approval for these models.
  • Be an interface between Risk managers, Counterparty Credit Risk Modelling and FO teams to collate all requirements and ensuring that these are translated into tangible ITO deliveries.
  • Writing business requirements documents that fully and clearly cover the user requirements.
  • Planning the required testing ensuring traceability between requirements and test cases.
  • Undertaking functional testing of the delivered functionality to ensure it meets the requirements, where required documenting issues and managing to resolution.
  • Providing expert support to the business during User Acceptance Testing.
  • Providing user training and support for system implementations including performing user verification testing where required.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 8+ years of Technology Development experience.
  • Experience in delivering change in Credit Risk.

Technical Knowledge
  • Excellent Java knowledge and experience in developing scalable, multi-threaded applications.
  • Experience of developing microservice in Java and Spring boot applications.
  • Experience of developing 12 factor apps.
  • Good knowledge of dev ops tools like Jenkins, Docker, GitHub, Ansible, Artifactory, and Up Guard.
  • Good understanding of ELK stack.
  • Basic understanding of Cloud based deployment strategies and tools like OpenShift, Kubernetes, public cloud.
  • Knowledge and experience of working on streaming based solution like using Kafka.
  • Good understanding of OO design principles and patterns.
  • Experience with Spring, Hibernate, and Messaging middleware
  • Experience with XML technologies (XML, XSLT, Web Services and JAXB)
  • UNIX and Windows development experience.
  • Understanding of SQL queries and database objects.
  • Any experience with technologies such as PostgreSQL, Kafka or Elastic Search is a plus.
  • Oracle PL / SQL development background, SQL Tuning is a plus
  • Scripting programming in Linux shell, Python is a plus.
  • Development experience on functional language, such as Haskell, is a plus.
Role Specific Technical Competencies
