The Data Centre team is looking for a DevOps Engineer to transform operations and scale it out regionally.

Make an Impact by

• Comprehending business requirements and be able to map them to software design and implementation with a focus on improving operational readiness for web-based applications
• Place a strong emphasis on building solutions to automate development and operational systems
• Develop, architect, and introduce improvements to a multi-team build/test/deploy system
• Research new development technologies and tools that can help us automate and scale our systems
• Implementing scalable systems to automate any systems requiring manual intervention.
• Work with development teams to support multiple environments
• Setting up, deploying, and maintain scalable, high availability systems
• Establish standards of practice across the development teams
• Being responsible for the integrity of the software build and deploy processes and overall quality of code versioning and integration across development, test and production environments
• Implement, improve, and support DevOps tools for software configuration management, build, deploy continuous integration, automated testing and automated self-service release management
• Writing scripts/programmes for service monitoring and health check of systems

Skills for Success

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum 2 years\' experience in System Administration
• Knowledge and experience in web/PHP development
• Knowledge on DevOps design patterns, processes, and best practices.
• Ability to drive offshore team and own the deliverables.
• Network Skills (topologies, firewall rules, load balancers, firewalls, Virtual Private Network (VPNs), Domain Name Server (DNS).
• Having a good understanding of hardware infrastructure systems (network switches, firewalls, routers etc.) and Linux/Windows/macOS operating system
• Cloud / Software as a Service (SaaS) experience would be an asset
• Knowledge on Monitoring tools (nagios, datadog, pingdom, Solarwind)
• Knowledge of CI/CD
• Proficient in the following technology: REST APIs, XML and JSON, responsive UI with JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, HTML and CSS, Cloud Computing
• Experience in the Data Centre industry is an added advantage
