Job Description

ThinkChina is an English language e-magazine with a China focus and powered by SPH Media Limited\'s flagship Chinese language daily Lianhe Zaobao. We publish original reporting, opinion pieces and columns across a wide spectrum of topics, covering political, economic, socio-cultural and technological developments in China and the Greater China region.

As a Digital content creator, you will produce engaging videos and online content for the website, as well as work with the team to facilitate the development and improvement of digital editorial content; increase engagement to new and existing audience segment groups through ThinkChina\xe2\x80\x99s digital and social media platforms; as well as monitor, manage and analyse the platforms\xe2\x80\x99 performance.

• Create, implement and manage a digital content and social media strategy with a core focus on video content.
• Conceptualise, produce and publish video content about the different aspects of China.
• Partner the ThinkChina and Lianhe Zaobao teams, and video production houses on video ideation and production.
• Manage day-to-day workflow and processes of video production.
• Increase awareness of and audience engagement with our digital content in creative and innovative ways, and generate ideas to grow online communities.

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in digital journalism, with experience in video creation (please provide a link to portfolio of completed videos in the CV)
• A strong command of English and Chinese, with a keen interest in China affairs, and the ability to respond creatively to emerging trends and talking points.
• Good organisational and time management skills; able to multitask and manage projects, priorities and tight deadlines.
• Proficient in creating engaging digital content, including blog posts, videos, short video formats and infographics.
• Team player who is able to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to achieve website goals.
