This is an 11-month contract position as a Digital Designer in the CET Academy.
[What you will be working on]
We are seeking a versatile and creative Digital Designer to join our marketing team. This role requires a strong visual storyteller who can conceptualize and execute designs across multiple digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for aesthetics, a solid grasp of marketing principles, and the ability to produce engaging content that drives brand awareness and user engagement.
You will be responsible for designing assets for social media, Google Ads, email campaigns (eDMs), posters, reels, videos and animated content. Collaboration with content writers, marketers, and developers is key to delivering cohesive and impactful campaigns.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Design Social Media Assets
Create visually engaging graphics, carousels, reels, and stories tailored for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
2. Develop Google Display Ads
Design various ads for Google Display Network (GDN), YouTube thumbnails, and other Google platforms, ensuring brand consistency and performance optimization.
3. Create Animated Content
Produce motion graphics, GIFs, and short-form videos for digital campaigns and social media using tools like After Effects or Canva Pro and support with the editing for these videos.
4. Design Posters & Print Collateral
Develop high-quality print materials including event posters, flyers, and internal communications, adhering to brand guidelines.
5. Craft eDMs and Email Templates
Design and build email campaigns using platforms like Mailchimp or HubSpot, ensuring responsive design and effective visual hierarchy.
6. Write and Edit Content
Collaborate with content teams to write and refine copy for social media, ads, emails, and other marketing materials.
7. Support Campaign Execution
Work closely with marketing teams to conceptualize, design, and execute integrated campaigns across multiple channels.
8. Maintain Brand Consistency
Ensure all designs align with brand identity, tone, and messaging across platforms and formats.
9. Other Scope
Take on additional tasks or responsibilities as required to support team goals, special projects, or business priorities
[What we are looking for]
Experience
Minimum 2-3 years of experience, proficient in content creation, including video editing and graphic design, with the ability to produce engaging multimedia materials across digital platforms, preferably in a corporate communications, marketing or agency environment.
Skills
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects)
Experience with motion design tools (Premiere Pro, Canva Pro) and video editing
Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot)
Basic knowledge of Google Ads and responsive ad design
Strong command of content writing and editing for digital platforms
Awareness of social media trends, platform specifications, and audience behavior
Knowledge of design accessibility and responsive design best practices
