ISD confronts and addresses threats to Singapore\'s internal security and stability. For over 70 years, ISD and its predecessor organisations have played a central role in countering threats such as those posed by foreign subversive elements, spies, racial and religious extremists, and terrorists. What you will be working on:

As a member of the Digital Forensic R&D team, you will be responsible for working closely with internal stakeholders to: \xe2\x80\xa2 Research, source and devise digital forensic acquisition methodologies and tools for various platforms including iOS, Android, Windows, MacOS as well as IoT Operating Systems \xe2\x80\xa2 Understand operating systems, file structures and security design in the context of devices access and data forensic extraction from the respective operating systems and devices under investigation \xe2\x80\xa2 Be well-verse with the various states of device to devise and advise users which forensic extraction method is the most- appropriate to perform \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct forensic research on artefacts and Apps folder structure/content \xe2\x80\xa2 Liaise with various experienced forensic teams on the ground to provide advice, guidance and direction in relation to digital forensic extraction and decoding \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborate with App development team to plan, test and rollout of App decoders and analysis tools that enable users to perform their investigation work

What we are looking for:

• Degree in Computer Science/ Engineering, related fields or equivalent competencies will be preferred \xe2\x80\xa2 Applicants with relevant qualifications or strong interest in mobile forensic domain may apply \xe2\x80\xa2 Self-driven, natural curiosity, autodidactic \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work independently as well in a team setting \xe2\x80\xa2 Relevant knowledge, experience or certifications in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous: o Knowledge of digital forensic tools available in the market o Digital forensic certifications (past or present) o Working experience in Flash memory, file systems and internal database structure o Experience with Android Studio/Java and/or XCode o Knowledge of scripting language such as Python \xe2\x80\xa2 Only Singaporeans need apply We wish to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
