JOB SUMMARY

The Digital Marketing and Content Creation Manager is part of an important team that creates and executes property-level communications to our guests. Under the leadership of the Director of Public Relations and Marketing Communications, this role promotes on-brand messaging to customers through digital and social media channels with the goal of strengthening The Ritz-Carlton brand and enhancing its mystique. This role plans and executes the public relations and marketing plans, and activates appropriate channels to drive consumer awareness, increase market share, and brand building.

The Digital Marketing and Content Creation Manager is required to liaise with and cultivate deep partnerships with the regional brand, public relations, digital and marketing teams to effectively market and promote the hotel. This role also gets exposure to balancing traditional and digital marketing, eCommerce activities, to contributing to public relations activations for the hotel through executing strategic media pitches and campaigns, media hosting and gifting, and acting as a consultant to internal departments through offering opinions, creative ideas and insights.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

  • A university degree or equivalent experience in digital marketing and content creation
  • A minimum five years of experience
  • Adept at using a DSLR and proficient in photo and video editing software (e.g. Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Premier Pro etc)
  • Passionate about social media platforms and has the ability to create engaging on-brand social content
  • Possesses agency, F&B, hospitality, travel or a luxury goods background
  • Ability to organise effectively, multi-task and project manage
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Digital Marketing
  • Partners the Marriott Digital Services account manager to ensure all programme entitlements (SEO, PLUS, Paid Search, METT email campaigns, etc) are fully utilised
  • Ensures that content and images on the hotel website and outlet websites are updated and optimised
  • Plans and executes the annual email marketing calendar and tracks performance
  • Drive direct room bookings through the hotel website
  • Manage content and offers on partner sites such as Expedia, Booking.com, Google My Business, Tripadvisor, Chope, Oddle etc to drive awareness and bookings for the hotel and its F&B outlets
Content Creation and Social Media Management
  • Plans and executes the social media strategy for the hotel
  • Drives fan acquisition on the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s owned social media channels through creating highly engaged, on-brand organic content
  • Plans and creates content (photos and videos/reels) for the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s social media channels
  • Assists with proactive online reputation management by managing reviews on the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s websites and social media channels
  • Vets and leads KOL collaborations
Marketing Communications
  • Ensures that all hotel promotions are in keeping with The Ritz-Carlton brand image and reflect the highest level of professionalism in content and presentation
  • Supports the execution of the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s marketing activities in conjunction with the annual marketing plan
  • Partners with other business units to execute promotions and campaigns to drive total hotel revenue
  • Copy writes promotional material and briefs the creative agency on artwork requirements
  • Ensures all hotel collaterals are in adherence to The Ritz-Carlton brand voice and in compliance with Brand Standards Audit (BSA)
  • Plans and executes hotel photoshoots in accordance with The Ritz-Carlton brand requirements
  • Provides marketing subject matter expert consultation to other leaders in the Hotel
Public Relations
  • Supports the annual public relations plan to increase public awareness and create a positive perception of the hotel, its restaurants, leisure services, and our Ladies and Gentlemen
  • Develops new media/KOL contacts and maintains network of existing media/KOL contacts
  • Proactively profiles hotel sponsored events, Community Footprints initiatives and promotional offers
  • Supports pull through of impactful PR strategy and activities to drive quality press coverage through media/KOL engagement
