Customer Services Digital Solution (SD) is responsible for the delivery of Digital Solutions on Maintenance and Engineering perimeter, internally for Customer Services and externally to airlines, MROs and lessors. Example of solutions are Airman Web and Skywise Health Monitoring for aircraft diagnostic, PRM and Skywise Predictive Maintenance for predictive maintenance Maintenance Operation Optimizer (MOO) for heavy maintenance optimisation, aircraft ground connectivity solutions for A320 & A330 with FOMAX and A350, A380 as well as airline IT connectivity, e-Doc Browser and Airnav suite for documentation, Skywise Reliability Services for airlines to compare themselves to the rest of the fleet.

Digital Operation (SDO) is in charge of delivering software solutions in collaboration with IM and other involved domains, from experimentation to industrialization, including evolutive and corrective maintenance. Methodology is evolving from a traditional V cycle and single agile teams to the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodology to be able to scale up to large development teams.

The Digital Solution Leader manages and leads development works on the big data collected from the aircrafts per flight from various Airlines and other sources (including new technologies for new data acquisition). Using the data exploration / manipulation, clustering, predictive, machine learning and visualization techniques, the Digital Solution Leader provides deep insights into the data, by developing algorithms utilized by various innovation projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Managing and Leading all development works providing technical guidance to the development team
• Define MVP development vision and strategy
• Create strategies to leverage on or adapt technology to meet innovation initiatives needs and drive buy/build decisions.
• Oversee the development and alignment of the development strategy to align development activities with Innovation Initiatives
• Anticipate the impacts of internal and external business challenges and market conditions and incorporate risk management to development activities
• Spearhead research and analyses on latest technologies and development methodology to continuously evolve and enhance development capabilities and efficiency
• Managing and assessing sub-contractors proposals and deliveries. Fully responsible for ensuring performance of sub-contractors
• Manage procurement needs and interface with Airbus procurement business unit
• Design and implement performance measurements to track and monitor performance of development team
• Ensure development activities are in full compliance with Airbus ethics and compliance, data governance and cybersecurity policies
• Define regional MVC/Proof-of-Concept/Fast-Prototyping strategy
• Conceptualizing, Designing and workload allocation to development team and contractors
• Planning, monitoring and reporting of progress for all development projects undertaken by the APD team in the region
• Develop strategies for development resource planning and utilisation
• Provides technical leadership to the development team and constantly challenging inputs from development team to deliver best in class software modules that are modular, reusable and highly customisable on time and on quality
• Coaching, mentoring and enabling other developers
• Oversee the motivation, learning and development of development team members
• Establish performance indicators to benchmark team\'s performance

Secondary Responsibilities

• Support the business teams to ensure that their needs are met with the most optimal and compliant infrastructure
• Works closely with the local teams to get clear alignment and defined and approved development that can be used globally.
• Be a part of Agile development team as a development team lead.
• Participate and contribute to the team objectives in Agile development process (more specifically, Scaled Agile Framework).
• Independently develop code / solutions (Algorithms etc.) on the Skywise platform.
• Collaborate with peers from other teams to deliver best in class solutions.
• Strong airline domain / data knowledge to understand the underlying importance of the data, such as: Data Formats (ARINC), Aircraft Systems knowledge in general and A/C Conditioning and Monitoring Systems in specific

Job Requirements

• Bachelor/ Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant field with 8-10 years of development experience with at least 20% in team lead role
• Strong coding abilities using JAVA, Python and related frameworks
• Experience in rich web application development with React, Javascript, HTML5.
• Experience of server-side development, database design (SQL and NoSQL)
• Proven track record as software development lead across the entire development lifecycle
• Experience in designing and implementing APIs, RESTful Web-services and SOAP-based Web-services
• Strong experience in test automation and test-driven development methods
• Working experience in Agile Scrum, SAFe and/or Kanban projects
• DevOps orientation, knowledge of continuous integration frameworks and some of the following products/tools: Docker, Nexus, Artifactory, GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, VersionOne, Splunk, ElasticSearch, Ansible, etc.
• Knowledge with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google) is a plus: building and deploying cloud solutions (AWS preferred)
• Knowledge of Aircraft systems would be a plus
• Test automation knowledge (XUnit, Jira Xray, Postman, Cucumber, Selenium)
• Proficiency in developing, deploying, and debugging cloud-based data-objects, and data transformation pipelines.
• Strong knowledge on Python, PySpark, PySQL, Java Script.
• Expert knowledge of Integration concepts, patterns and design.
• Expertise in data analysis methodologies and processes and their linkages to other processes e.g. dimensional modeling.
• Expert SQL Skills.
• Experience with integration efforts (packaged and customized applications) from a data analysis perspective
• Strong business analyst skills, able to work with many different stakeholders to elicit and document requirements
• Proficient with Skywise platform and tools e.g. Contour, Code-Workbook, Code-Authoring, Slate and Ontology definitions preferred
• Knowledge of airline and MRO operations.
