Digital Twin Intern (Sept 2023 - Feb 2024)

About the Role

The primary role of the Internship Candidate is to work with and assist the Digital Twin 3D Modeller to model existing systems and operations for the purpose of visualisation and monitoring of key performance metrics, and simulation of what-if scenarios to identify areas of improvement.

The Internship Candidate will use a Digital Twin software platform to identify bottlenecks and present new possible modifications through process simulation to provide recommendations for improved layout planning and process optimization for the respective Business Units.

On-job training and guidance will be provided to ensure that the Internship Candidate will not only obtain the minimal skillset required to operate the platform, but also understand existing processes and provide advice on possible improvements.

Responsibilities

• Work with various business units and relevant stakeholders to understand process flow, requirements, and problem statements
• Using the SATS Digital Twin software platform to
• Create a digital replica of the facilities, systems, and processes
• Analyse processes through simulations and identify process bottlenecks or process inefficiencies
• Make changes to the environment and processes, and simulate these scenarios to determine possible improvements

Candidate Requirements

• Knowledge of 3D modeling and working with the following software tools: Solidworks, Catia
• Knowledge of working with Dassault Systemes 3DExperience platform would be ideal
• Able to read and visualize specification drawings and/ or floorplans
• Interest in Aviation and Process Improvement
• Currently enrolled in diploma or degree in engineering related fields
• Able to commit full-time for 6 months from Sept 2023
