Job Description


PaCE@NTU plays a crucial coordinating role between SkillsFuture Singapore, the Ministry of Education and various NTU’s entities in promoting CET and lifelong learning. The centre offers a wide range of programmes and courses for working professionals that are curated from various disciplines and conducted via different learning platforms. Key Job Purpose This incumbent is responsible to create a cohesive, powerful brand for Lifelong Learning across all NTU Continuing Education (CE) units and forge innovative partnerships with leading platforms, partners and corporates to solidify our status as the preferred continuing education and training provider among individuals and companies. T he Business Development and Marketing Director also leads all business development and marketing efforts within PaCE@NTU and other CET units in NTU, including the development and implementation of business development strategies and activities. He/She spearheads business growth through expanding current businesses and exploring new markets and opportunities, both local and overseas. Responsibilities:

  • Define and create NTU Lifelong Learning positioning and drive consistent message for NTU
  • Understand the Continuing Education (CE) market, and perform analyses e.g. market research, competitor landscape, segmentation, growth trends, value proposition etc and make strategy recommendations
  • Take ownership and lead business development efforts to grow, develop and form strategic partnerships, with internal & external stakeholders
  • Analyze and synthesize information into strategic actions to grow CE portfolio with internal and external partners, and generate lifelong learning training programs opportunities through these partnerships
  • Service existing partners and clients, in addition to adding new partners and clients, as part of growing the pipeline and portfolio
  • Create win-win collaboration opportunities with external partners, and work closely with faculty, other NTU CE units and PaCE to create collaboration models, learning proposals and programs, through putting together information and persuasive ideas
  • Ensure high levels of partner and client satisfaction as well as build trusted relationships with both internal / external partners and clients
Requirements:
  • A good bachelor’s degree, with at least 15 years’ working experience, preferably in the Education, business development, L&D department of an organization, or in consulting
  • A proven revenue-generation track record through business development, sales and bidding management
  • Strong industry experience and ties, with good understanding of Singapore’s continuing education landscape
  • Ability to work independently, as well as inter-dependently, with in a team, and across teams
  • Customer-oriented disposition, with excellent interpersonal skills, and to be able to work with all levels
  • Good business acumen, with ability to develop proposals for clients in the areas of leadership and business management training
  • Team player, problem-solver, who is adaptable to a changing environment, and is able to proactively address any challenges that may arise
  • Excellent written, oral, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Displays leadership skills and takes interest in nurturing and coaching younger members of the team
