Key Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Development
Define and implement business strategies to expand the company's presence in the civil engineering industry.
Identify, pursue, and secure new project opportunities through strong client and stakeholder engagement.
Drive tendering and bidding strategies to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
Project Management & Operations
Oversee the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Ensure all projects comply with contractual, technical, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Provide guidance to project managers and technical teams to resolve complex engineering challenges.
Implement best practices in project management, risk assessment, and resource allocation.
Financial & Contractual Oversight
Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
Review and approve tenders, contracts, and major procurement decisions.
Ensure cost control and optimize resource utilization across projects.
People & Stakeholder Management
Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary teams to achieve organizational goals.
Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, government agencies, and industry partners.
Governance & Compliance
Ensure adherence to local regulations, construction codes, and environmental requirements.
Establish internal policies, procedures, and quality standards for consistent performance.
Represent the company in industry forums, regulatory meetings, and professional networks.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Chartered/Professional Engineer status preferred.
Minimum 20 years of senior leadership experience in the civil engineering or construction industry, including at least 5 years in South East Asia countries.
Proven track record of delivering large-scale infrastructure or civil works projects.
Strong financial acumen and experience in contract negotiation.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in written and spoken English and French.
