This position is an exciting and dynamic senior leadership position, requiring a high level of strategic capability. You will be responsible for the executive communications strategy and execution.

You will be required to provide strategic counsel to senior leadership stakeholders, leverage external media contacts and collaborate on internal Team Member and culture communications.

What will I be doing?
As the Director, Communications - Asia Pacific, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Lead and manage impactful stakeholder communications \xe2\x80\x93 with a focus on Executive communications that reflect core Hilton messaging and enhance Hilton\xe2\x80\x99s reputation.
• Leverage excellent media contacts (both business and industry) deploying sound media relations skills
• Develop written internal and social content for APAC President and other key APAC executive committee members to build executive profiling with internal and external audiences.
• Partner across the APAC communications function, and with other Hilton departments and external agencies to support the delivery of strategic and editorial plans.
• Lead and project manage key communications projects as required e.g. General Manager Conference
• Partner with the global and regional communications teams, ensuring best practice is shared and plans align strategically and editorially
• Lead on crisis and issues \xe2\x80\x93 as required
• Manage third-party partner agencies as required.
• Manage data insights and translation projects to support effective, inclusive communications.
• Manage budgets where applicable and be accountable for return on invested capital and time resources.
• Maintain absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
• Experience with issues and crisis management will also be an extremely valuable dimension for this role.

• University Degree qualification in communications.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in executive communications, public relations, and/or journalism, along with a deep understanding of the Asia Pacific market.
• Further professional qualifications in communications, writing, journalism, events, and/or project management.
• Excellent writing capability for executive and internal communications
• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management
• Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated competence in managing multiple, fast-paced projects simultaneously.
• A passion to learn and grow with Hilton \xe2\x80\x93 taking on new projects as appropriate.
• Keen interest in travel and hospitality \xe2\x80\x93 and a heart for hotels and people
