The Role Responsibilities
Overall

  • The role requires the candidate to lead strategic transformation work as part of the CPBB Productivity & Efficiency programme.
CPBB Efficiency Programme
  • Accelerate productivity agenda and meet CPBB CIR and EVA targets for 2022-24, to achieve this goal, CPBB has committed externally to deliver USD 500m of saves by year 2024.
Some key responsibilities include
  • Sustainably improve productivity by working on:
  • External and internal benchmarking of our businesses (front to back) to clearly identify areas of improvement and highlight best practices.
  • Disciplined execution of the existing productivity initiatives.
  • Radical rethink of our current operating models to identify productivity opportunities.
  • Embed productivity as part of our DNA for sustainable and continuous improvement.
Work with countries to revamp and implement Sales and Services Model across markets. Key initiatives include:
  • Migrating transactions and service requests from physical channels to digital channels and self-service ones.
  • Enhancing straight-through-processing for key client journeys.
  • Digitizing capabilities.
  • Enabling automation and streamlining of processes.
  • Enhancing productivity of frontline job families.
Drive the collaboration between CPBB business and Technology teams to identify, quantify, and implement initiatives that would result in cost saves, and subsequently reduce the allocated technology charges to CPBB business:
  • Simply and converge the estate of technology applications by reduction, migration, streamlining, rationalization and removal of oversubscription, duplication, unnecessary use / ownership of applications.
  • Optimize the technology cost base by optimizing costs areas in applications, infrastructure use, database, end user services and applications.
  • Identify and implement organizational design opportunities.
  • Increase like-for-like efficiency in change delivery.
  • Unify run and change.
  • Improve finance transparency in areas including but not limited to financials, reporting, costing by apps, allocation drivers, and other relevant components for group and country teams.
  • Embed the seven principles.
Partner with an external consultancy to accelerate progress:
  • Complete benchmarking, conduct data analysis, assist in developing initiatives against efficiency targets, and programme-manage implementation.
  • Provide input and guidance to the external consultancy in content and approach, as well as helping to de-bottleneck progress and de-risk initiatives.
  • Act as an escalation point when progress is stalled.
  • Identify issues and propose solutions and options to ensure consistent progress and results.
Work with internal teams and stakeholders to track, report and continuously advance the Programme agenda. Key responsibilities include:
  • Develop, socialize and align stakeholders in Group, regions, country teams and functional partners on scope, approach, outcomes, and working model of the CPBB Productivity & Efficiency Programme.
  • Embed the efficiency agenda as part of our organizational DNA to continuously drive productivity and efficiency of the organization.
  • Track, monitor and report progress and KPIs of the Programme.
  • Support development of materials for Programme reporting.
  • Work with CPBB Group Finance partner to monitor and report progress on cost saves and provide insight linking to the overall financial picture of CPBB.
Other Responsibilities
  • Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • 10 years of relevant experience in finance, banking or consulting.
  • Proven experience in data and/or financial analysis.
  • Track record in execution of large and complex programme.
  • Bachelor's in business, economics, engineering or relevant degree.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to manage and work with stakeholders of all levels.
  • Experience in setting expectations, resolve conflicts/issues and enable progress.
  • Ability to influence without authority.
  • Demonstrate initiative, flexibility and problem-solving skills in an ambiguous and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to build effective rapport and nurture relationships with cross-functional and cross-geography teams.
  • Prior experience working in SC is preferred.
