The Product Development and Commercialisation is a horizontal service group, within Regional Product team that has end-to-end responsibility for building and delivering new capabilities aligned with the AP Product Roadmap.What a Director - Deployment Strategy will do:The Director will be a member of the leadership team reporting to the AP Regional Head of Product Development and Commercialisation and will lead and own strategy initiatives. The incumbent will lead end to end strategy as well as the deployment and development efforts of the regional muti year plans.Essentially, the individual will:

  • Work with and support Product verticals and markets and owns the development of strategies with alignment of the regional and global priorities.
  • Front regional business planning and develop proposals to address product roadmap development needs
  • Monitor competitive developments across the region as well as globally, and be involved in the development of timely responses to emerging trends and opportunities across AP.
  • A typical effort may entail working closely with senior stakeholders to understand and logically structure the problem, develop hypothesis, work with cross-functional teams to validate the hypothesis, develop strategy to address the problem, and develop recommendations and execution plan to present to the regional leadership.
  • Lead end-to-end strategy efforts with a small team of analysts. The strategy efforts can range from developing focused product strategies in responding to developing market trends to developing multi-year plans for the region, addressing emerging competitive and economic model issues, managing commercial response to regulatory changes, developing cross-product programs, and supporting strategic investment assessments.
  • Collaborate and work across markets, cultures and teams within Visa as well as client organizations.
  • Lead a team and program manage deployment efforts to ensure timely delivery as well as launch of key initiatives
The position will be based in Singapore with some travel expected.Why this is important to VisaAs we roll out products and solutions in an extremely dynamic marketplace, being able ro purposefully define, plann, and execute against long-term strategic priorities will be principal determinants of success. The Deployment Strategy team will be the owners of Visa\'s product roadmap in the AP region and will provide the stewardship, tools, and processes to make it a reality.QualificationsWhat you will need:We are looking for an individual with a structured mindset, curiosity about the payments industry, is results-driven, and client-focused. As an ideal candidate, you should have:
  • Bachelor or Master\'s degree preferably in Economics, Business or similar fields
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in leading strategy projects at top-tier Management Consulting firms or in a Corporate Strategy group in a multinational environment
  • Pro-active and effective communicator, experienced in presenting information to all levels and with ability to facilitate group discussions and debate
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and proven experience of managing a team
  • Solid project management abilities and strong interpersonal as well as execution skills
  • Strong analytical and strategic acumen
  • Excellent presentation and verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to manage work in different time zones effectively
  • Ability to be recognized as thought leader
  • Ability to influence the organization in order to make strategy happen
  • Professional, confident and outgoing with the ability to maintain good communication with wide internal and external audiences
  • Team player possessing a strong drive to add value to the business direction
  • Highly numerate with attention to detail and ability to structure and analyze databases and strong knowledge of financial modelling, scenario-building and analysis
What will also help:
  • Financial Services / FinTech / Payment industry experience would be a distinct advantage
  • Broad understanding / experience in financial services and / or payments a plus
