Make an Impact by

  • Lead software architecture and engineering standards for Singtel.
  • Build, lead and grow the Architecture capability in alignment with organization strategy.
  • Execute the Architecture Governance framework and process.
  • Be accountable for design and architecture across our bespoke applications, ensure application designs meet functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Define system-level application architecture that includes high-level design, architectural policies and principles, design and programming guidelines, implementation risks and mitigation measures, software development and integration strategies, software configuration controls, etc.
  • Develop and maintain current and planned architecture blueprints and roadmaps to create sustainable and scalable software/solutions, working closely with business and software engineering teams.
  • Partner and build relationships with Senior Business, Technology and Operations Partners
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the organization\'s technologies and architectures.
  • Oversee the application design and architecture activities for organization\xe2\x80\x99s key initiatives and projects in accordance with the best practices.
  • Help software engineering teams comply with architecture standards in their software products.
  • Provide technical leadership in modern/agile software engineering methodologies,
  • Engage stakeholders to explain the rationale of architecture decisions.
  • Participate in solution design reviews to uncover gaps in architecture standards and reference architectures; refine reference architectures and standards as follow-up.
  • Define and implement metrics to measure the value that the Enterprise Architecture function and activities bring to the organization.
Skills for Success
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or its equivalent.
  • 15+ years of experience in the technology industry.
  • Ideally prior experience in Architecture across cloud native /12 factor applications with micro services API.
  • Any of AWS, Azure and or GCP.
  • Ideally from digital/Omni Channel background.
  • Fully aware across distributed systems which are highly performing and fault tolerant.
  • Exhibits leadership in guiding team members, adapts to changes in technology and business domains, has good knowledge of latest trends in the market and is well respected within the team
  • Should have created or developed roadmap for architecture in a large scale organization.
  • Experience of managing or leading large size team and team across geographies.
  • Ability to guide and review business stakeholders.
  • Knowledge/Experience in Agile Development and Management tools.
  • Good understanding of modern application frameworks such as Spring Boot/Quarkus and architecture patterns such as microservices/webservices etc.
  • Excellent programming skills e.g. Java/Go/Typescript etc., able to read and make sense of complex code.
  • Experience in implementing event streaming and event driven architectures using tools such as Kafka, AMQ, RabbitMQ.
  • Experience in implementing distributed systems and implications/requirements around [eventual] consistency and transaction models (ACID/BASE), resilience, coordination and communication.
  • Experience in implementing observability using tools and techniques such as OpenTelemetry, ELK, Splunk etc.
  • Excellent communication skills; capable of explaining to non-technical managers the implications of various technology-related initiatives/options.
  • Excellent modelling and diagram design skills
