The Role Responsibilities

  • Financial Markets has expertise combined with deep local market knowledge to deliver a variety of risk management, financing and investment solutions to our clients.   • Within FM, the Modelling & Analytics Group (\xe2\x80\x98MAG\xe2\x80\x99) is accountable for design, development and delivery of real-time pricing models, risk models, and core infrastructure, enabling intraday and daily pricing and risk management activities, and portfolio level analytics including reporting and capital computation.
  • The purpose of this role is to lead all aspects of Macro business-related model change management delivery globally for FM MAG group outside the core capabilities of quant modelling and writing applications. This leadership role includes strategic design and planning of delivery to requirements set by the Global Head of Macro Trading and their senior leadership team; syndication and stakeholder management with Macro MT, Global Head RMA, Global Head TRM, CIO FM IT, Global Head Traded Risk GMV, Global Head FM Middle Office and other senior leadership; programme and project management both within MAG and in partnership with FM IT where applicable; and driving to completion the delivery and production release of business change.
Strategy
  • Through business engagement identify additional project delivery opportunities for business growth, cost savings and improved business risk management
  • Facilitate business strategy design and gathering of project-specific business requirements
  • Always balance tactical deliveries - supporting business needs - with the long-term strategic development of the platform
Business
  • Build and collaborate with a network of expert contributors to explore design response to strategy and business requirements in order to distil options and make recommendations for senior management decision
  • Work with technical teams, vendors and quantitative specialists to facilitate delivery of new products/payoffs and to achieve better financial performances with through deeper liquidity and better tools and algorithm to price, internalize flows and manage risks
  • Work with clients in conjunction with Relationship Managers, and other colleagues in sales, research and trading to develop a thorough understanding of each prospective client\xe2\x80\x99s electronic trading needs
Processes
  • The candidate must be familiar with project reporting across multiple audiences from working groups to steering committees and provide reporting to numerous programmes as well as have experience running complex programmes and multiple books of work simultaneously
  • Ensure that governance of each project is established and adding value to delivery
  • Ensure all projects, releases, processes, change requests respect internal policies and frameworks and pass internal audits. The candidate must have direct experience of facilitating delivery of projects into production/BAU use in a financial institution and understand the nuances of the different levels required to have a systems optimally supported, retain flexibility in release and ensure the solution is cost effective
  • Manage escalations, ensures all teams addresses issues and questions pro-actively and diligently. Be able to deep dive in questions whenever required.

  • Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group\xe2\x80\x99s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
  • Ensure adherence to governance and to all local and global regulations relevant to the product line.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner where required

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 5 plus years of experience in Banking Industry in a Financial Markets Environment.
  • Project manager experience with strong interpersonal skills at senior levels. Able to bring consensus and drive arbitrages.
  • Experience working in a Front Office environment, facing heads of desks. Ability to work, prioritise and deliver under pressure.
  • Solid Financial knowledge, including analytics and models. Experience in counterparty credit risk and regulatory capital is a plus.
Role Specific Technical Competencies
  • Project Manager expertise and strong interpersonal skills at senior levels.
  • Able to bring consensus and drive arbitrages.
  • Self-starter, delivery oriented with a \xe2\x80\x9cCan do\xe2\x80\x9d attitude. Able to navigate through the bank\xe2\x80\x99s IT, remove blockers and deliver solutions to the business.
