Whether you want a career that could take you to the top, or simply take you in an exciting new direction, HSBC offers opportunities, support and rewards that will take you further.We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as in the capacity of Director, Head of Issuer Services, Singapore.Job PurposeISV provides operational and administrative trustee and agency services across seven core products to enable clients to pursue international capital market activities: we expedite movements of cash and securities, protect the rights of interested parties and we assist our colleagues in GBM/CMB with the identification of ISV solutions to meet client requirements.The Head of Issuer Services Singapore will be responsible for leading and driving the Sales & Business Development, and Client Service teams across our product range. The focus of the role is to develop and execute sales strategies in Singapore and our escrow spoke sites - Vietnam, Thailand and Bangladesh. The roleholder will be responsible for driving both new business revenue as well as client engagement and experience.The roleholder will act as the Risk Owner for the ISV business in Singapore and will therefore need to demonstrate effective engagement and stakeholder management within the ISV Sector and with domestic and regional risk stewards. Additionally, the roleholder will need to work closely with the Head of Issuer Services ASP, Global Escrow Product and the Regional Head of Transaction Management, to ensure that the business strategy is aligned from a sales and product perspective with the regional and global ISV business priorities.Role Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive the Sales and Business Development and Client Service teams in Singapore, and act as Entity Manager for the domestic ISV Transaction Management team
  • Develop and execute an appropriate sales strategy that will deliver revenue growth whilst improving client engagement and delivering excellent client experiences
  • Lead collaboration across the lines of business (Global Banking and Commercial Banking), working close with other Investment Banking product teams to maximize growth and drive new business opportunities
  • Enhance the business profile and credentials of the Issuer Services business in Singapore, both externally and internally
  • Provide leadership and support excellence by searching out best practice, monitoring technical and professional developments, sharing knowledge and encouraging others to do the same in the best interests of HSBC and its customers

  • Ensure the Client Services team implements key risk controls and on-going evaluation of risks as they relate to our products and business.
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points
  • Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.
RequirementsCertifications, Qualifications & ExperienceThe incumbent will need to be a self-starter to plan and deliver multiple activities falling within the role with some key skill set requirements such as :
  • Extensive Capital Markets experience, including detailed knowledge across all Issuer Services India products
  • Strong business development experience with a proven track record in leading sales teams and driving execution of strategies and new business growth
  • Ability to build trusted and credible relationships with senior Global Banking and Commercial Banking stakeholders
  • Established Issuer Services industry network with ability to leverage these relationships to drive new business and strategic growth plans
  • Excellent communication, presentation and client-facing skills
  • Strong commercial business acumen and strategic thinker
