Job Summary
Role Responsibilities

  • The role is a Short Term Assignment (STA) for a period of 6-12 months with a potential to re-evaluate further extensions.
  • International Banking is one of the key strategic pillars for growth for CPBB and Affluent Segments. Under International Banking we serve the needs of our International clients across our hubs in Hong Kong, Singapore, UAE, and Jersey. Building a stronger international proposition for our clients in UAE is key to driving the growth opportunity in the affluent business, across Priority and the HNW segment .
  • We are looking for a high calibre professional who will have the responsibility of partnering with the CPBB Affluent segments in and building a world class International Banking proposition.
The role holder will :
  • Lead and direct the conduct of business within the Existing-to-Group/New-to-Group international client segments especially focussed on Global Chinese and Global Indian clients.
  • Lead and manage the Cross Border sales and marketing with the goal of growing and retaining international customers
  • Oversight of the products, services and offers available to international customer segments to include offers, sales process, cross border marketing policy / frontline training and referral programs
  • Subject Matter Expertise and guidance for international client base both for cross-border sales and marketing for example, China corridor requirements (PBOC and SAFE regulations) and US Person Policy
  • Develop corporates plan and key initiatives to deliver business growth targets among the international client segments
  • Provide oversight on cross border fund flow, to retain customer relationship within SCBs entity globally
  • Role holder will have high level of visibility and accountability of mitigating risk related to cross-border client segment
  • Lead the design of myRM client journeys for new market deployment and enhancements in existing markets.

Responsibilities
Strategy
  • Understand the Affluent segments CPBB business strategy and leadership expectations and ensure the International Banking business objectives effectively supported and delivered.
  • In partnership with Markets and Global Affluent teams, develop capabilities across the International client journey across Awareness, Onboarding, Servicing and Transacting.
  • As a member of the Global Affluent segments CVP team, provide analytics and insights to strategic discussions and ensure key business initiatives are effectively implemented.
  • Benchmark International Banking propositions to competition and to external criteria and develop analyses to demonstrate positive impacts to business.
Business
  • Grow new to bank acquisition among international prospects clients
  • Develop strategy and proposition for Singapore, Hong Kong (inc. GBA), UAE and Jersey hubs
  • Develop full-service banking and wealth solutions appropriate for this segment and champion a positive customer experience through enhancing international service capabilities and commercializing new products and services
  • Develop cross border referrals strategy and drive collaboration with country affluent teams and key hubs to achieve deepening of customer\'s relationship globally
  • Lead collaboration projects with other business and functions like Wealth Management, Digital around servicing globally mobile and non-resident clients
  • Develop a wealth and banking proposition targeted to international customer segment
  • Institute and monitor NPS for International clients
Processes
  • Global business Lead for development of International Banking policies like:
o Network Income
o Country coverage guidelines
o Non-Face-to-Face Client On-boarding
o Digital marketing guidelines

  • Identifying and implementing incentives and compensation policies and procedures applicable to IB business
  • Ensuring the requirements of policies and procedures are appropriately communicated to and followed by the team and frontline
  • Ongoing control monitoring of the minimum control requirements set out in the policy and procedures to ensure that if a key control activity stops working, or operates outside its normal operating conditions, it will be quickly detected in the ordinary course of line management
People & Talent
  • Provide leadership input as part a member of the Global Affluent Segments team
  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values, embedding a high level of team engagement
Risk Management
  • Provide leadership input as part a member of the Global Affluent Segments team

Governance
  • Lead and actively participate in the Cross-Border Business Co-ordination Forum
  • Ensure awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role

Other Responsibilities
  • Monitor various International banking processes and identify opportunities to simplify and digitize.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement (global and local) at all seniority levels to drive to enhance the International Banking client experience.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree.
  • Over 5+ years experience in banking / financial services.
  • International Market experience, with exposure to Greater China markets.
  • Strong experience in segment analytics and insights across Global / Regional functional capacity.
  • Experience in Retail Banking and Wealth Management products and sales.
  • Knowledge of the CPBB business including Priority and Pvt Bank segments.
  • Ability to drive cultural change and manage complex, global KPIs, scorecard blueprints.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated thought leadership
  • Experience working with and influencing senior stakeholders at all levels from senior management to frontline
  • Proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint, data scripts and programming
  • Proactive and positive with the ability to make sound decisions and use independent judgement
  • Project and Programme Management skills to monitor specific projects and take ownership of issues and tasks
  • Ability to create effective work relationships across functions & borders
  • Interpersonal skills in networking, influencing and decision taking
