The Role Responsibilities The Director, Metrics & Measures (M+M) will be responsible for elevating metrics for key decisions across the Group. Candidate will bring together strong competencies in decision modelling, data transformation and information delivery. Candidate will provide the creation and delivery of our next generation of information capabilities. Metric Capabilities . Design scalable solutions to deliver on metric needs . Maintain and influence our roadmap to transform our metrics and measures capabilities . Be a leader in our ability to visualise information to drive decisions . Decision Analysis & Modelling - validate decisions, process improvements and customer journeys through high value measurements and industrialised fit-for-purpose metrics . Generate accurate and usable business insights by effectively designing, communicating, and implementing new measurement approaches through metrics, information visualisation and information story-telling . Addressing unanswered business issues, new processes and customer journey insights through robust data sourcing and sampling and analytic techniques Business & Support Functions . Demonstrates or can acquire deep technical data-expertise, utilizing in-depth knowledge of data engineering to shape the target M+M architecture . Support and apply metrics algorithm and methods where possible with a view of enhancing and/or revamping the bank's M+M systems and processes through lean and iterative approaches. Processes . Support end user enablement to achieve actionable results by awareness and transparency of what and how to measure - scaling the right measures, iteratively reducing decision risk and clearly linking the metrics that matter to real performance results . Support end-to-end, scalable data infrastructure to enable execution of functional and business agendas and increase the usability and quality of information used for decisions . Support determining scope of measurements and linking metrics to operational measurements and value to help direct change People and Talent . Support a change in mindset, building a culture of client centricity, agility, iteration, lean and accountability through scalable information solutions Risk Management . Support a framework for effective management of operational risks in areas of responsibility . Act to minimize operational loss and audit failures and take proactive measures to respond to matters arising, identify, and manage forward looking risks . Embed the Group's values and code of conduct across the function Regulatory & Business Conduct . Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct. . Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct. . Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters. Key Stakeholders . Operations Management Team, Business Heads . T&I Management Team, Chief Data Officer, Head GBS, Operational & Process Excellence teams . Regional COOs . Regional and Country CEOs . Functional Partners including Risk, Compliance, Finance, HR, Legal, Audit Our Ideal Candidate . 6 Years of experience in banking or any industry . Experience in Project management and stakeholder management . Demonstrated stills in data engineering and data visualisation . Demonstrated ability to navigate a complex organisation structure that includes matrix reporting lines and multiple geographies . Data Analytics, Data Modelling and/or Data Warehousing Role Specific Technical Competencies . Data Analytics, Data Modelling and/or Data Warehousing . Business Strategy and Decision Modelling .
