About the role: The role will principally involve building, developing, and overseeing the cybersecurity Digital Forensics Incident Response ('DFIR') team locally in Singapore as well as overseeing Blackpanda's DFIR Specialists covering East Asia and the Greater China region. The ideal candidate is independent, collaborative, and solution-oriented. They will work directly under the VP of DFIR and will have additional supervision and mentorship with Blackpanda's Chief Incident Response Officer for developing and managing the Hong Kong-headquartered DFIR team. To be successful, the Director of Digital Forensics and Incident Response should be equipped with both expert-level experience in DFIR matters and excellent leadership and strategic planning capabilities. Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and supervise up to 2-3 DFIR Specialists locally and work with the VP DFIR to identify the best practices, processes, and automation for the team's DFIR casework and management. Directly handle strategic enterprise DFIR cases and accounts alongside other senior Services team leadership in the Incident Management team as needed. Accountable for resource allocation plans such as utilization and revenue optimization. Optimize our Service delivery to ensure clients' expectations are developed and met to maximize efficiency and cost-saving while ensuring top-in-class DFIR casework to global standards Nurture client relationships by maintaining regular contact with the IT leadership and support the Incident Management team on project progress. Build up our brand and reputation by working closely with the Marketing and Sales team in terms of DFIR thought leadership, innovation, and ideas for content creation and marketing materials Prepares and delivers briefings, assessments, lessons learned, metrics analysis, after-action reports, and other program documentation, both verbally and in writing, to internal Blackpanda leadership as a manager and leader in the company Assist clients in preparing contingency plans and checklists designed to expedite diagnosis and effective response to cybersecurity incidents and compromises. Possesses the ability to work with little direct oversight. Skills and qualifications: A minimum of 3 years of experience total with complex DFIR cybersecurity programs and initiatives. At least 5 years of experience in cyber threat management, cyber risk management, and/or cyber security consulting. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a team leader, experienced in resource allocation, utilization, optimization, and team development skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to convey results clearly in formal technical reports and deliver briefings. Strong organizational & analytical skills. Demonstrated leadership and/or management capability. Ability to successfully interface with C-suite level clients (internal and external). Candidate has to be able and willing to travel when needed by the company or clients Benefits: Role is based in Singapore. Blackpanda has a Work From Anywhere policy whereby the incumbent will be able to perform their role outside their country of employment (Singapore) for up to 30 days in a calendar year, subject to alignment with business and operational requirements, and is available for a minimum 6 hours between 9 am and 6 pm SGT to sync with the company. 40 days of paid leave (including public holidays) that can be taken at any time at your discretion, subject to alignment with business and operational requirements. Work-life balance - no scheduled internal meetings on Fridays, unless absolutely necessary. Enrollment in the company corporate health plan.
