Our Client:

Our client is a dynamic and forward-thinking company within the oil & gas and petrochemical industry, looking for a Director of Maintenance to lead their maintenance operations across multiple territories. Their commitment to safety, operational excellence, and client satisfaction has earned them a leading position in the market. They are seeking an experienced professional to take their maintenance department to the next level.

As the Director of Maintenance, you will blend your technical, analytical, and business development skills to ensure business expansion overseas, specifically in Thailand, Brunei, the Middle East, Saudi Arabia, and Southeast Asia.

Your strong process plant maintenance skills and P&L experience will be instrumental in elevating exciting projects to unprecedented levels of success and excellence.

The Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic business plan aligned with the overall Group business strategy
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of their territories, collaborating with country management to achieve sales and profit targets
  • Develop and implement marketing plans to build long-term brand equity in these territories
  • Lead bid preparation, ensuring proposals meet customer business needs
  • Oversee budgets, policies, and programs to implement corporate business strategies and objectives
  • Set and monitor performance standards in areas such as sales revenue, cost control, and tax compliance
  • Implement HSE objectives, policies, and company procedures within your purview
  • Promote a safe working environment and consider HSE aspects in all planning and tasks
  • Oversee all maintenance, installation, repair, and operations for routine maintenance, plant shutdowns, and turn-around works
  • Optimize resources to meet budget requirements
  • Utilize effective communication skills to manage client and stakeholder engagement
  • Ensure designated plants and facilities are well-maintained and provide proactive support and solutions
  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills to minimize downtime
  • Hold overall responsibility for the facilities management department
  • Drive business expansion overseas, specifically in Thailand, Brunei, the Middle East, Saudi Arabia, and Southeast Asia
  • Blend technical and business development expertise
  • Lead predictive maintenance efforts
The Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in maintenance work in the oil and gas/process industry
  • Strong knowledge of process plant maintenance and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Exposure to maintenance business, ideally in an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) environment
  • Experience in managing profit and loss (P&L) for the business unit
  • Willingness to be based in Jurong Island
