Contract Length: 12 Weeks

Contract Period: 15 May 2023 to 4 August 2023

SPH Content Lab is hiring a hybrid position to collaborate with and support our video team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate must have experience as a Director of Photography and Video Editor to bring to life the artistic vision of the creative producer that serves the objectives of our branded content.

In addition to having the technical know-how and a keen eye for visually compelling shots, you should also have a strong and diverse portfolio to demonstrate your ability to work with a range of themes and clients across various industries.

You will also be responsible for the creation of video content for SPH Media\xe2\x80\x99s various content platforms; Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, in-article videos etc. The ideal candidate is a team player who is experienced in working across different video content, from profile stories, to event coverage videos, and case studies etc. You will also need to have a strong understanding of digital formats, aspect ratios, and be able to work efficiently and independently.

Responsibilities

  • Execute visual treatments according to brief, and in collaboration with the producer.
  • Ability to effectively manage and clearly communicate overall campaign production and resourcing needs, including lighting and audio, to meet all project requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate filming requirements, including equipment support needed for filming etc.
  • Effectively manage expectations and work within tight, demanding deadlines.
  • Ability to manage day-to-day tasks and proactively identify and solve for potential challenges in the video production processes.
  • Strong knowledge of camera operations and lighting techniques as well as excellent technical knowledge of cameras, lenses, shooting equipment, sound equipment and digital processes.
  • Experience working as part of a team and as a one-man crew.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially for interview and profile-driven scripting and interviewing.
  • Ability to tell effective and compelling stories in post-production is a must.
  • Execute visual treatment, selection of best soundbites and shots for the video.
  • Strong understanding of digital workflow and file-based delivery.
  • Ability to edit and create basic motion graphics, texts and supers, as well as implement general colour correction and adjustments.
  • Knowledge in post sound mixing and equalising.
  • Organise and manage files for storage and archival.
Proficient software experience needed:
  • Google Suite
  • Adobe Premiere Pro/Final Cut Pro
  • Frame.io (bonus)
