Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in partner management, business development, or relevant fields.
  • Experience in APAC markets (e.g., Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, India, etc.) including Senior Executive level partnership development.
Preferred qualifications:
  • 20 years of work experience in tech industry, or consulting/corporate strategy.
  • Experience in influencing and building effective relationships at the executive decision-making level in a complex matrixed organization
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to define and drive large initiatives across organizational boundaries and represent complex business or technical concepts internally and externally.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, entrepreneurial, creative, open-minded, resourceful, collaborative, and ability to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Track record of having worked across various complex regulatory frameworks and markets.
About the job

The Privacy and Chrome Partnerships team is looking for a leader responsible for driving the success of the Privacy Sandbox and Chrome Browser/Open Web technologies in APAC by aligning and driving performance across internal and external partners.

In this role, you will manage relationships with a broad range of APAC partners to develop, test, and implement privacy preserving APIs across Android and Chrome platforms and advance the web's capabilities to make Chrome more helpful for users, developers, and websites.

As a Director within the broader Global Partnerships team, you will build, manage, and motivate a diverse business development team to execute against ambitious product and user goals. You will use an analytical approach to identify and execute against opportunities, and are highly effective at working cross-functionally.

Responsibilities
  • Define Google's partnership strategy to drive engagement of Privacy Sandbox, along with distribution and optimization of Chrome Browser and Open Web technologies in APAC, aligning with Product and global Business Development leads.
  • Launch and land Web Platform, Browser and Privacy Sandbox product features and functionality in partnership with in-region top partners.
  • Lead a high performing team distributed across the region to execute against our company's goals. Secure and allocate the resources to ensure Partnerships can deliver upon our product goals in the region.
  • Partner with and provide expertise to a broad spectrum of VP-level cross-functional leadership at Google (i.e., Regional leadership, Product, Engineering, PR/Communications, Marketing, and Legal).
  • Represent Google (in collaboration with other Google teams) at select external events including industry forums, partner conferences or events, and Google hosted external events.
