They have approximately $70 billion in assets under management.

About the Role:
They are seeking to hire an experienced Capital Raising professional to join the Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team. To build and develop senior-level investor relationships with key industry partners and institutional investors in South-East Asia, Australia and Hong Kong. The role will be based in the Singapore office. In addition to Singapore, our client has offices in China, Korea, Japan as well as globally across the US, Europe, Brazil and India.
Broadly speaking, the successful candidate will be responsible for raising capital in South East Asia, including Hong Kong, Malaysia and Australia by effectively representing the firm within the institutional investor community and developing relationships with investors and consultants. The successful candidate will represent a full suite of global investment products and capabilities to relevant investors and partners.
With an emphasis on developing strategic, long-term investor partnerships, the successful candidate should bring a deep knowledge of both the real-estate investment business and the institutional investment community. They should have a track record of effective marketing to a variety of investors, including public and corporate pension plans, consultants, funds of funds, endowments, foundations, family offices and high net worth individuals, aggregators of high-net-worth individuals and the mass-affluent, as such should have an array of established relationships within these groups.
The successful candidate will bring a thoughtful and responsive approach to working with investors, communicating feedback from the market internally, both to the Equity Capital Markets and senior management teams, in order to position our client effectively in the market and to develop successful new products.
They will join a collaborative and talented team of professionals focused on relationship management as well as project management. The team also collaborates closely with Portfolio Management to ensure that current and prospective partners and investors receive best-in-class client service as well as timely information and analyses.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Establish a substantial and diversified client base and drive formation of new joint ventures, segregated accounts, and discretionary funds.
  • Drive firm introduction, investment strategy development, due diligence meetings, final presentation and negotiation and legal documentation leading to fund/joint-venture formation.
  • Investor sourcing and investor relations, seeking out new private equity investors and maintaining and strengthening existing investor relationships.
  • Lead the execution of PE fund-raising including funds structuring, marketing, investor due diligence, negotiations, fund documentation, compliance, etc.
  • Drive ongoing improvement and streamlining of investment management processes and related performance metrics.
  • Contribute to firm\'s investment management strategy through research and market intelligence, including keeping current on competitive and regulatory landscape and best practices.
Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated professional with an established track record of raising capital from sophisticated institutional investors. Direct experience in real estate transactions and / or product development will be considered an additional benefit.

Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in a real estate sales or marketing capacity, with a demonstrated track record of raising/managing capital.
  • Key relationships with institutional investors and consultants.
  • Sound technical skills as well as the intellectual flexibility to quickly grasp new products. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of real estate investment strategies.
  • A track record of both individual and team-oriented successes. Whilst this individual will benefit from a strong investment management team and overall support system, they will must feel comfortable managing the entire sale process from cold calling to final presentation.
  • A results-oriented approach with a strong appetite for closing a sale.
  • Excellent presentation skills combined with outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate clearly and credibly on a number of distinct investment strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic relationship management across multiple markets.
  • The capacity to function as a thought-partner, who can champion and drive marketing and product development efforts.
  • A strong worth ethic and passion for personal growth
  • A collaborative nature, include the willingness and ability to build and sustain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Impeccable judgement and ethics
  • Willingness to travel significantly for meetings and conferences.
