About the Role

FTI Consulting is seeking talented, ambitious individuals to join its Strategic Communications team in Singapore. We provide our clients with in-depth communications counsel and support driven by insights, leveraging our core capabilities spanning corporate communications, financial communications, data & insights and public affairs.

For this position, we are interested in candidates who have a track record in advising and implementing integrated corporate communications programs. Our director role is both challenging and highly rewarding, with their time spent equally between nurturing our impressive team members and directly providing day-to-day counsel to our clients, working closely alongside our senior team members.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills are important. The candidate should be mature, results-oriented, and prepared to learn and utilize new approaches to communications as part of a leading global communications consultancy business.

What You'll Do


  • Lead and take accountability for client servicing, media relations and local and regional account management.
  • Work with a highly motivated team in the Singapore office (and broader regional team) to strengthen the Corporate Communications practice and offering.
  • Work with senior management to provide input towards the development of the firm's strategic direction in the market.
  • Lead the creation of high-quality written proposals for existing and new clients.
  • Support and mentor junior team members.
  • Helps clients identify and escalate risks in order to act and communicate with integrity.
  • Provide input for the Singapore office's marketing and promotional activities in Asia.
  • Understand and live by FTI's values, Code of Ethics and the Strategic Communications Rules of Practice, and works with junior staff to embed these concepts within the firm's culture. Basic Qualifications


  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience of communications agency or in house experience.
  • Strong understanding of how the regional, international, and local media landscape.
  • Crisis and issues management experience advantageous.
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Strong editorial and written skills are a must.
  • Excellent presentation and project management skills.
  • University degree or higher in journalism, marketing, corporate communications is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and manage own time.
  • A collegiate approach to working in a diverse team across the Asia region and globally
  • Ability to contribute towards new business development (ideas and proposal development, etc.).
  • Travel may be required to clients and to FTI office(s).
