Job Description

Infinera runs a Global Distribution Center in Singapore and plan to enhance its trade compliance footprint in the region to benefit from customs programs to improve the efficiency of the logistics execution of shipments of technology goods globally from and into the region Asia Pacific (APAC).

We are searching for experienced people in general logistics, distribution, and trade compliance for technology goods.

Director Trade Compliance APAC will play a leading role in shipping globally for Infinera to the top technology companies worldwide.

The person needs to be proficient in English to run initiatives with global teams and communicate results well structured in executive forums with VPs and SVPs

This will be a fulltime engagement with excellent career opportunities.

Capabilities

General understanding and experience with:

• The management and trade of strategic goods and acting as primary Strategic Goods Customs Officer in Singapore with broad understanding about Singapore export control laws
• Managing and developing import and export processes in Singapore and the region APAC
• Working knowledge navigating and implementing India-ASEAN Free Trade Agreements
• Managing partners and problem solving with partners (Freight forwarder, 3PL) involved in logistics/trade processes
• Collaborating and problem solving with customs authorities
• Setting up a management system to secure trade compliance in all relevant processes
• Running initiatives with global teams to improve logistics/trade setup around Infinera\xe2\x80\x99s Global Distribution Center and the region APAC
• Running cost saving programs by improving the general trade setup of Infinera in the APAC region (reducing Infinera\xe2\x80\x99s trade spent)
• Implementing the global trade compliance policy of Infinera in the region APAC
• Setting up Trade processes (design and information on commercial invoices, adjustment on commercial invoices based on customer request or specific destination country requirements)
