This role will plan, organize and direct, or provide support, in the technical studies, engineering development and construction of EDPR\'s electrical infrastructure projects in accordance with the parameters of quality, cost and specified deadlines, to ensure that strategic renewable energy projects are developed efficiently and delivered to the operating units finished and received for commercial operation.

Manage and coordinate internal team members efforts (control, protection, electromechanical, HV lines) to guarantee the correct support during the project E&C indicated stages.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Technical Support to the local Engineering teams of the different platforms (EU, LATAM, APAC and NA) as informed, consulted or responsible depending on the type of task and based on the current Responsibility Matrix (agreed with the teams of E&C, Technology, IT and RODC) regarding to the electrical infrastructure projects of the different EDPR countries in, as well as coordinating and/or supervising the performance of engineering or other entities that collaborate technically with EDPR in the indicated projects, in order to ensure the technical solvency and technical-economic efficiency of them.

  • Provide Technical Support to the Local Construction teams of the different platforms (EU, LATAM, APAC and NA) as informed, consulted or responsible depending on the type of task and based on the current Responsibility Matrix (agreed with the teams of E&C, Technology, IT and RODC) regarding to the electrical infrastructure projects of the different EDPR countries in, as well as coordinating and/or supervising the performance of engineering/supervision/technical assistance/technical support entities that collaborate technically with EDPR in the indicated projects , in order to ensure the technical implementation, with a full participance in FAT (and some SAT) stages.

  • Provide Technical Support to the different teams of the Technical Corporate Engineering Direction (I&T y others) regarding to the electrical infrastructures associated to the different projects/processes being developed by them
  • Collaborate with the Technology team in the management of the technical qualification/homologation of the different manufacturers for their certification in EDPR and acceptance for inclusion in RFP/RFQ processes. Participate together with Technology, with the main manufacturers and technologists related to electrical systems, in the necessary workshops and meetings to guarantee the correct understanding of the state of the art of the different elements of the system, keeping internal information always up to date
  • Support the E&C team in the transfer of construction projects to the operating units. Cooperate in the resolution of minor "pending topics" within the appropriate timeframes, as well as coordinate and manage compliance with the corresponding responsibilities by contractors and suppliers, in order to guarantee the proper functioning of the facilities.
  • Follow the application of the common standards in the projects, supervising its adaptation to applicable local regulation, in order to avoid non justified deviations and maximize the investment efficiency with all the technical warranty needed.
Requirements
  • Masters/Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 10 years experience in engineering/construction/testing and commissioning of HV, MV and LV electrical systems
  • Experience in commissioning substations and high and medium voltage power lines, SCADA systems and protection relays
  • Knowledge of technology and design of Electrical systems (substations, HV/MV overhead lines, HV/MV underground lines, transformers, electrical switchgear, SCADA, control and protection systems).
  • Knowledge of electrical tests for transformers, switchgear, fault analysis and power regulation.
  • Knowledge of international electrical regulations/normative
  • Knowledge of contracting Engineering Services and EPC\xe2\x80\x99s regarding renewable energy projects (performance requirements, warranties, LD\xe2\x80\x99s, etc.).
