Job Description

As Amazon Search Manager, you will take an active role in all aspects of managing Amazon Search advertising campaigns to drive set KPIs and business impact. The person will set up and run successful Amazon Search campaigns, leveraging deep expertise, analytics and tooling to continuously optimize and improve the campaign performance. Based on insights and your expertise you will be able to forecast the right budget and KPIs to contribute to the overall business objectives. Next to Amazon, The person may need to apply her/his experience to run paid search campaigns at other e-commerce platforms that follow a similar logic.Given the need to work with Japan as well as the global team, this role requires proficiency in both Japanese and English.Key Clients & ProjectsThe Performance community at Omnicom Media Group, Singapore consists of ~50 experts managing activity on a local or regional scale across multiple digital media channels. 20 of these form the OMD Performance Team. Not only is this team responsible for the strategic planning and buying of Media advertising for our own office, but we also lead the regional hub to instill best practices, training and new innovations for our regional clients. This involves working across multiple teams, clients and regions to drive the best performance for our clients, and ultimately for OMD as an agency.You will be responsible for overseeing and delivering the strategy for Philips, primarily across Japan and Australia. Because of the need to work hand in hand with the Japan team as well as the global, we require this role to have bilingual proficiency - in English and Japanese.This is a unique opportunity where you will act as an extension of the Philips client team in their in-house hub, offering you a "client-side" experience without compromising the energy and diversity of agency life.The Media team forms part of a wider Performance Team, comprising of Paid Social, Display & Programmatic, and Affiliate & Lead Gen experts, who together with the client team build cutting edge, compelling and successful strategies to continue to grow our clients. We are moving towards cross-channel Directors, so you will learn these channels and in time be responsible for overseeing and delivering cross-channel strategy for your clients.Key ResponsibilitiesDriving Client Business Growth Responsible for managing Sponsored Product campaigns end to end including; setup, optimizations & reporting Managing the budget in a defined period including set-up of the campaign: analyzing media allocation, tracking performance and optimization, detailed planning of the campaign and creating reports. Creating a Sponsored Product media plan in line with business objectives. Defines KPIs and tracks performance in reporting & dashboards. Budget follow up and reporting of the campaigns. Responsible for planning and deliverable deadlines of Sponsored Product campaign scope. Works with Amazon team and wider in-house media team to feed in Sponsored Product Campaign insights into Amazon strategy as well as an cross-channel media strategy. Analyze results and feed potential recommendations to campaign strategists based on the insights revealed through execution/optimization to challenge current campaigns or re-adjust future campaigns.Agency Leadership We are looking to you to be a leader in the performance team, overseeing output of the department for your clients You will be a line manager and mentor to more junior members of the team and a source of inspiration for local markets, working with the network via the Teams communities. You will build relationships with people from across the agency and the network and learn from their experience, to unlock new opportunities to grow our clients' business. You will need to from a strong relationship with all specialist units within OMD, to understand where there is opportunity for new product development or where they can start to hold a relationship on an existing piece of business.Reputational Leadership You will need to be up-to-date with developments within digital media, and broader communications in the industry. You need to be a proactive and curious learner, keen to develop and learn new skills independently and share and collaborate with a wider team. As a Amazon Search Manager, it's vital that you're aware of industry issues and developments such as GDPR, Identity and Brand Safety. You will ensure that your team have the necessary training to deliver a quality output/product/service. You will deliver training but also identify opportunities for others to develop by leading training sessions/writing documentation for the benefit of the wider department.Skills/Technical Capabilities Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital media buying (Strategy & Performance) Strong interest in ecommerce, focused on the Amazon marketplace Expert in understanding the synergies between Amazon and other platforms Has an in-depth knowledge of Amazon Search set-up and optimization on multiple platforms Ability to structure a solution plan based on data insights and root-cause analysis Derives creative and strategy insights and anticipate risks based on data & trends Strong analytical skills. Understand how to smartly analyze and turn the data into actionable insights to challenge the status quo. Proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment. Always have a performance helicopter view. Has experience in coaching others or managing a small team in day-to-day activity Viewed as an expert in the field Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization. Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends. Problem-solver: prevents & cures Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
