Job Description

Responsibilities: Partnering across our organisation, you will drive day to day operational and financial responsibilities of this portfolio, in ensuring the fundamentals are in order, including but not limited to financial processes, governance, risks and controls. You will also be a key stakeholder in helping drive the transformation of Software/Technology Finance and business processes. You will be heavily involved in business partnering with Technology & Operations (T&O) senior management, mainly the Platform Heads in the execution of viable plans in achieving the organizational goals. This position is also expected to supervise and guide the team on all operational matters and to define and delegate job responsibilities in line with bank's guidelines. The job holder is also responsible for leading the team with DBS’ vision & philosophy and develops skill and talent in the team.

• Pro-active partnering role as a trusted financial advisor to the businesses to resolve strategic and operational challenges
• Support the implementation of process changes and the change agenda within the Software/Technology Finance team
• Preparation of financial performance reports and insightful commentaries to track and drive business performance and enable strategic and operational decisions
• Conduct monthly review meetings with senior Platform stakeholders and Finance Leads
• Support the Platform Heads in preparing the quarterly Business Review with the CEO
• Performing month end close processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of our financials
• Work closely with countries to review monthly financial performance, as well as investigate variances and identify business risks and opportunities
• Ownership and accountability for timeliness, data accuracy and process adaptation as needed in delivery of various Regional Reporting data sets and reports to various stakeholders
• Develop and put together cohesive presentations for internal and external forums. This will require active facilitation and teamwork across businesses and functional units
• Participation in cross functional project work to help drive the strategic agenda.
• Manage & control all operational functions of Software Co. and define roles and responsibilities clearly for all team members.
• Ensure adequate coordination with shares services teams to maintain high quality service and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure timely receipt and submission of regulatory and other reports by/from the BU.
• Monitor SLAs with all the shared services teams.
• Participate in all critical system enhancement and process improvement exercises within T&O.
• Identify areas where productivity enhancement and cost reduction initiatives can be introduced.
• Ensure non-functional aspects such as high resiliency, availability, scalability, security, performance, cloud readiness, instrumentation & monitoring etc. are well-defined and aligned with established bank’s guidelines.
• Drive the deployment of servers and infrastructure for New Projects within schedule and budget
• Any other responsibilities as assigned by Software Co. from time to time.

The successful candidate will be someone who meets the following Experience & Competencies:

• Experience in banking technology finance
• CA/CPA/ACCA qualified
• Knowledge of products, processes, technology systems, and finance databases
• Solid business acumen with deep expertise in managing financial processes and controllership teams including financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and project investment management/ prioritization.
• Deeply data driven with the ability to work with large data sets
• Operationally hands-on, with a strategic mindset
• Thrive on working in a fast-paced environment with transformation at the centre
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint
• Modelling skills, good command of Tableau and Python is a plus
• Domain Expertise with extensive knowledge on traditional IT infrastructure and how to transform and operationalize into Cloud Ready Platforms
