What will you be doing As part of our expansion in Singapore, we are looking for outstanding individuals to join our growing editorial team to cover reporting on the fast-growing energy and commodities space in Asia. The successful candidates will join our global network of over 500 dedicated journalists to connect deeply with the markets they cover, delivering expert news, analysis, and information not available elsewhere. We pride ourselves on analysing how and why news matter to our high-level audience that comprises Fortune 500 companies, national oil and energy companies, multi-nationals, the finance institutions, trading companies, and governments. You will be responsible for driving market coverage, news, and analysis of the ferrous and non-ferrous metals markets across the Asia-Pacific region. The successful applicant will manage metals reporters in Singapore and coordinate with editorial colleagues in Europe, the US and China. As well as line management responsibilities, you will ensure that Argus product offerings are tailored to market needs and that opportunities for indexation of Argus assessments are captured. Key Responsibilities Manage metals reporters in Singapore and coordinate coverage from reporters across the Asia-Pacific region. Lead by example in writing/editing regular high-quality content, news and analysis. Ensure clear editorial direction for Argus Freight report and ensure that product development is closely aligned with needs of the business. Oversee consistent high-quality hiring of Singapore editorial staff, oversee performance review processes and objective-setting efforts globally to ensure a consistent approach. Work with business development group to ensure editorial focus is aligned with business objectives and that indexation opportunities are captured collaborate with other Argus publications to increase cross-selling opportunities. Ensure highest levels of data quality and compliance within team by setting standards and implementing processes to support price assessment consistency and reliability. Support sector market engagement, including through special content such as webinar, podcasts, etc. Work closely with the Commercial group to ensure that market feedback is acted on in shaping assessments and market reports. Support the AMP global editor in tracking and overseeing ongoing and future projects to launch new prices and develop a greater suite of calculated prices, as well as methodology changes. What we're looking for in you 2+ years' experience of managing market reporting teams within a Price Reporting Agency (PRA) Extensive experience in delivering breaking news, insightful market reports, and in-depth analytical articles Expertise in editorial processes including implementing and managing Quality Control and Editorial Standards Understanding of price reporting methodology and compliance issues A strong understanding of market supply and demand dynamics in commodities A sound grasp of commercial issues and an ability to evaluate strategic business proposals Proven public speaking abilities. This position will be an internal and external ambassador of what we do and must be an accomplished and confidant speaker. Proven internal and external training capabilities.
