Job Description
Autism Association (Singapore) or AA(S), is a Social Service Agency dedicated to supporting and serving individuals with autism to maximise their potential, helping them lead meaningful and quality lives in society.Working as a team from different professional background, we work interdependently to provide the best evidence-informed practices that we know so that quality education can be provided through an autism focused curriculum, competent staff, and strong family collaborationRoles and Responsibility:
- Working with students with challenging profile
- Developing a differentiated curriculum combining functional academics, life skills and vocational skills
- Delivering lessons using a combination of methodology that is pupil-focused, fun and autism-friendly
- Creating a structured environment for meaningful learning
- Implementing and monitoring progress of students\' Individual Education Plan goals
- Collaborating effectively with parents to generalize skills learnt in school
- Comfortable working with students with challenging behaviour
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Passion to help special needs students maximise their potential
- Recognized qualification from local Junior College / Polytechnic or University
- Work location: Eden School (Bukit Batok), 101 Bukit Batok West Ave 3 S(659168)
- Relevant work or volunteering experience in special school, hospital or elder care setting will be an advantage
